"What a load of rubbish," Saioh muttered, as he tromped through the snow. Under his arm, he carried the book he'd found in the library. It had presented itself to be a guide to utilizing psychic energy, but he had discovered upon reading it that it was just a jumble of superstitious nonsense. It had crossed his mind to simply keep the book so that no one else could be subjected to such misinformation, but in the end he'd decided it would just annoy him to have it around the house, so he had made up his mind to take it back to where he'd found it.

He was in a rather unpleasant mood, up until he passed a hologram that waved at him. He stopped to look at it, and also the man who seemed to be controlling it.

"Having fun?" he inquired.

Siegfried glanced up from the PDA screen upon hearing a question that sounded as though it were directed to him. He supposed that he shouldn't be surprised. When one did things out in public, one should expect the public's attention on occasion.

"Ja," Siegfried answered. He typed out a new command line and Freya curtsied to the young man.

"Skillfully done," Saioh remarked. It didn't seem very useful, but he supposed it was a way to pass the time. He gave Siegfried a considering look. "I believe you are one of Takion's roommates, yes?"

"Ja," Siegfried responded again, pleased with the compliment. He held out a hand to the fellow. "Siegfried von Schroider, president of Schroider Corp."

"I know," said Saioh, closing one of his hands around Siegfried's. "We are from similar worlds, so your reputation is well known to me."

Siegfried had no problem with recognition. He loved attention after all. But that this person could seem to sound so certain about them being from similar (not the same) worlds gave him a bit of a turn. "You are of the future world?" he asked hesitantly.

"From your perspective, I am from the future, yes," said Saioh. He smiled, enjoying his private joke. "I tend not to concern myself unduly with time."

That explained it then. Siegfried couldn't help but wonder what the future held. That Misawa fellow he'd spoke with once had said that Schroider Corp and Industrial Illusions were still in a solid partnership in his time frame, with no hints of scandals from his and Pegasus's relationship. That pleased Siegfried well enough. Although he still wouldn't mind knowing which up and coming programmers to watch for, or whether or not the financial figures for Schroider Corp ever came out ahead of Kaiba Corp, or if he was still as handsome as ever.

However, Siegfried did his best to resist the temptation to pry. "I have met a few others from this future time as well."

"There are a few of us around, yes," said Saioh. A bit sourly, he added, "They tend not to socialize with me."

Siegfried frowned a little, not seeing why that would be the case. Those he'd met so far had seemed a rather friendly lot. Why would they exclude one from their own world and time? "Would it be proper to inquire as to why this is?"

Saioh shrugged slightly. "I am not completely certain of the details myself. It seems most of them come from a time slightly ahead of me, so they know more about it all than I do."

That earned a slight smile from Saioh. "Indeed. Perhaps it is best that way. Who knows but the future may have changed by the time I get to it?"

"Possibly," Siegfried said, sounding perfectly agreeable to the notion. It wasn't as though it affected him, after all. "I suppose you shall find out when the future becomes the present."

That earned a laugh and a shake of the head. "Come now. Everyone is concerned with time. There is never enough of it."
