(
but that was completely beside the point. )
And, like Yuriy, he didn't particularly like to waste time. He was really a contraiction, most times he appeared childish and too easy-going, but certain things could really bring out a maturity in him that made it much easier to understand why he was one of the people in charge.
"You haven't introduced yourself properly yet," he admonished lightly, more out of habit than anything.
He closed the door behind them and moved to the living room, assuming Yuriy would follow. Jing was not much for standing on ceremony. "You seem to be an interesting case. You've just arrived and yet you must've been asking the right questions to get on Gaz's good side. It's a very small good side. I'm one of the ones in charge of the alliance here, a group of people who're taking it on ourselves to make sure we're both protected from the Entropi, and from each other."

White boots stepped forward into the living room. His head tipped over a shoulder to look back at the other when he spoke - eyes watching him, and how he moved, and how he presented himself as he continued in.
"Yuriy," the redhead said without offering any physical greeting such as a hand to shake, or a nod, or bow, or anything of that nature. Simply left it at that and settled against a wall, crossing his ankles and weaving his arms across his chest.
"Alliance," he repeated, "I've heard. Resisters." His head tipped forward and eyes set to the ground. Long red locks of hair fell forward as he pulled up an amused grin. His head levelled again to look back toward Jing. He was used to being ordered or giving orders. It was frustrating to be in a place where things were uncertain and out of his control.
"I hear there's a blacklist of people to keep an eye on. Who's on it; and also, what is known about Hart, Tomo, and Joker?"

Jing settled into the armchair, leaving the couch available for Yuriy if the man desired to sit.
"Harth is a vampire," he began. "Which in itself isn't that great to start with, although he's not the only one. There are others present and have been others in the past." He remembered Elda and all the trouble she had caused. "But he seems to be a little more of the sadistic side, although I haven't encountered him personally. "
"Tomo I don't know much about," he admitted. "Selphie, one of the people helping us monitor the communications, has had some trouble breaking into their exchanges." He shook his head lightly; things like hacking were unusual for his world, the closest approximation he'd seen was in Bleuwari when they'd broken the door lock code. He left such things to the people whose worlds had more of the electronic technology than Aquavitae had.
"But I do know that he and the Joker are working together," he continued. "And the Joker, he's probably the biggest threat at the moment. Apparently there are several people from his world here and the consensus is that this guy is bad news. Our biggest advantage was Robin -- the smaller of the two -- because he was leading a group of the alliance divisions himself and Joker was their primary target. But he disappeared just recently."
He grimaced. "That's actually why my roommate is stalking around the compound and threatening to kill everyone on the planet. She was his girlfriend."

Yuriy had heard about Harth from Faye; but again, he was gathering data from multiple sources to be sure the stories he heard were more likely true than not. His eyes remained on the figure that had taken to a chair as he listened. Nothing on Tomo; but there was another name, Selphie, to lock away for further information.
A brow rose as Jing continued to talk about the Joker. He seemed a little . . . baffled, maybe? Yuriy put aside the talk about disappearing people and lovers - he knew what it was like to lose people, but it was a war; and a supernatural war at that. He shook his head just a little.
"What is he? Joker."

After a few moments he calmed down, and focused on Yuriy's other question.
"Animal, vegetable, or mineral?" he smiled. "As far as I know, he's just a man. Although that covers a pretty broad view, if you've seen some of the people here. But everyone from his world unanimously agrees he's a danger. I also believe," he said thoughtfully, "he's dressed like a clown."

"I think you misinterpreted," he claimed with certainty. "I know war, chuvak."
His eyes looked up at the ceiling a moment. The quirk of his lips had yet to fade. His fingers idly tapped the side of his gun that laid on his hip. Yuriy took a moment or two to muse to himself before returning his gaze to level with the other's.
The redhead chose to ignore the first comment, but wasn't irritated by it like he may have been should the mood have been different. "Who are these people, and why has nothing been done about him?"
His brows ebbed in a bit as his weight shifted. Yuriy probably already knew the answer, and that answer irritated him. "I plan to keep an eye on internal dangers," he admitted after a short pause.

"We had a more pressing matter," he answered. "The goddess Belldandy was... a little not right in the head. As a group, the alliance decided she was more of a threat. As for the Joker and his cohorts, we're gathering intelligence on them. We're not just sitting around, you know."
He chuckled a little at Yuriy's claim to keep an eye on things. "That's fine, you wouldn't be the only one. Other people are going to have their eye on you, so it's only fair."

"Give me the names of people that know him," he said with a shift of his weight. Imprisoned in training centers since young - the disorganization of this place was going to make him crack.
"Also, has it been a consideration to make one of these buildings in to holding cells?" He thought it would have been an obvious move to make, but there was a lot of things this place was lacking that Yuriy thought of as pretty typical.
