Summary: Yamato's feeling kind of down, so like he always does, he's decided to express it with his music.
Warnings: None, except for sad harmonica music played very well.
Wrapped in the warm blue cloak that he'd been given the previous year, Yamato made his way to the park. He spent most of his free time there, since it reminded him somewhat of the Digital World. There was a convenient rock at one point where he liked to sit and watch, if he were in the mood for that, and that was where he settled himself today.
He missed Bakura. As the holidays drew nearer, memories of everything that had happened the year before twisted through his mind. All the joy, all the love...he wasn't sure if he wanted to scream or cry because of how empty that part of him felt now. Yes, Bakura was in his world, taking care of Piemon. He would never doubt that. But he wasn't, and he could never, would never forget that.
He drew his harmonica out of his pocket and slowly began to play, the music that of sadness and regret as well as memories of love. He regretted that they hadn't had more time together, that he hadn't treasured that time quite as much as he should have, at least in retrospect.
Leaving Sor-Tessera had, honestly, helped him a lot. Sure, it was a longer walk up the stairs, but it was just a different room, without any of the memories that had assaulted him even after the redecoration of the original apartment. And Saioh was there, his best friend short of Gabumon. That helped too.
But right now, what helped the most was just sitting here and playing his very soul out.
