Tomo was wandering the park, not watching where he was going very closely, his hands thrust deeply in the sleeves of his elaborate costume for warmth. He had plans to work out. Once again, he had been idle for too long.
He saw the white-haired figure by the lake and paused. He remembered this one from the old compound. He had never met him personally, but Tomo knew he was related to that other one who had been in Econtra for a long time. The one with the psychic powers that disrupted his own. The cruel one, with the sneering smile...
Tomo sidled closer, carefully feeling for any errant memories that might be floating about. "Enjoy the quiet while you can," he said smoothly. "It never lasts."
Haine moved his eyes to the top coroner of his head. There was a voice. When he had moved in, he remembered seeing him there, maybe. "Does something usually happen?" He asked softly moving over to a giant boulder and plotted one foot on it.
"Oh, there's always some interesting little adventure going on somewhere around here," sighed Tomo, strolling closer. But not too close. He knew when he was facing danger.
But he just couldn't playing with fire. "So who might you be, Handsome?"
"Go on." Haine had nothing to do here and maybe talking to someone will pass the time. He would probably explore the other places of Econtra soon. "Haine Rammsteiner, and yourself?"
"My name is Tomo," he murmured. "You see, they bring people from many different worlds with many different abilities to this place, and that means many many different conflicts, with many strange effects for all involved."
"Conflicts...abilities. Seen it all." Couldn't be anymore different, this world is will probably be one of those that Haine could easily settle in. He won't get homesick and he won't have to be involved with the underground.
"Have you?" Tomo asked slyly. "I wonder. There are some people who simply fall apart the first time they meet a vampire or have their minds tampered with. It's rare to meet one who is so very confident in his experience.
"But I'm sure I've seen you here before," Tomo continued with a shrug. "Is this place at all familiar to you?"
"My mind has already been tampered with as well as everything else." Yes, Haine's mind had been tampered with, when he was a child. With that in mind, he bent down with flashes of his child hood. His hands covered his ears as if trying to block them all out. "Shit." He cursed.
The flashes only lasted for five minutes this time and they weren't as dangerous as to drive him insane. He quickly recovered, still sitting in the same position. "...It might be...another me." Haine said as loud as the memories let him. He had been to other worlds before and he knew what happens in them.
Tomo felt the flashbacks, could almost taste the blood in them. If he dared to reach he could probably pull them out, but he had not lived as long as he had by being reckless. "It must have been," He said when the man finally recovered and answered. "And the other one, the one who called you his brother. He must have been a different one, too."
"Brother? You mean that asshole Giovanni?" Haine would visit him every so often but he just hated the fact that that man won't stop taunting and reminding him of Lily and his past, and that professor.
At the name, Tomo's smile widened. "Yes, he was here for quite some time. Ah, the pain he caused, the havoc he raised, it was truly artful." His expression became almost wistful. "It hasn't been the same around here without him."
"That Giovanni..." Haine had an idea of what he was doing. Still having fun even when the professor wasn't around. That bastard. "That could change...if this place starts to bore me...I'll think of something."
"Can't forget about the blood and pain." Haine said rather boredly. He took out that white pistol and aim a few bullets at a tree that was surprising close to Tomo.
