Relena had been rather busy lately. Being a part of the council kept her occupied, something she was grateful for. She'd been so bored during the first few months she'd been here, convinced that her being brought here was a fluke, for Econtra had no use for a diplomat. That changed with the formation of the Council and she'd eagerly jumped in and offered her services, more than willing to do whatever she could to help. And while right now it resulted to looking into the Indigeo being sentient and keeping records of residents and their abilities, past events and future possibilities, she was, for the most part, content with being here.

That, of course, didn't mean she was willing to accept that she'd always be here ( ... )

"I've always been surrounded by chaos, that's nothing new." He told the woman, keeping his distance away from her as he walked along the edges of the pond. He was trying to see if there was someone else on the side.

He just never felt the silence quite like this before. Something always happen back in his world.

"There's always a chaos of some kind lingering in one's life," she said sagely, drawing upon the wise words of the butler that had been like a second father to her. Relena followed him, her interest caught for the time being, but kept her distance as well. "Whether it be a swarm of paparazzi and greedy politicians, warring mobile suits, or being confined to a compound without any means of escaping it."

"Been there, done most of that." Haine said as he tried to find some form of life. But it wasn't possible, this place was dead.

Despite her better judgment, she continued to follow, her curiosity getting the better of her as it sometimes did. Trying to spark conversation with the more reclusive of individuals was nothing new to her, as she'd attempted to often with Heero in her youth, back during the war. That was years ago, though, and whatever it was about the Perfect Soldier that had captivated her was gone and he was nothing more than a friend and someone who was stuck in the same unfair situation as she, being that he was here, too.

"What is that you are looking for, if I may ask?"

"...Maybe some life? If there is such a thing." Haine was reminded of his home back in his world. Everywhere you look something was dead, he never really seen any kind of colors and it wouldn't be soon. He was just curious.

"It's winter," Relena stated matter-of-factly. "Just because things don't appear to be alive doesn't mean that they're dead. The trees and ground will be blossoming with life again once the seasons change."

"Winter...? I couldn't tell. Seasons don't exist back home. " Haine told her because it was true. Seasons were non existence. Everything stayed the same every day.

Relena's eyebrows shot up in surprise and wonder. A world without seasons? While she didn't doubt that such a thing existed, it was nonetheless a little odd to hear. Then again, she supposed that seasons would be interpreted differently or not exist at all in a variant form on other planets. There didn't seem to be any sort of definite season on Mars, as of yet, judging from what she remembered from reports she'd read on the terra-formation project before she'd been brought to this awful place.

"They don't?" She asked. "Where...is it that you're from?"

"A city in Europe...some time in the future. " Haine only told her that. "The future changed a lot in that area. I don't really know about the other places around there." He had not been outside of the city quite yet.
