When: Shortly after Yusuke retrieves the Clear monsters from the bank.

Summary: It's time to get in a little relaxation now that possessions have been returned.

Ignoring the war that everyone happened to be stuck in the middle of, everything was right with the world again now that the Clear monsters were back where they belonged. Specifically, at the moment, clutched in Yusuke's hands - he wasn't about to let them go at all until he got back to Paj-Dyo, and even then he intended to keep them very close for a while.

(Though he still probably wouldn't bring them into the bathroom during his showers - the cards could get water damage, and the Cubes were still young, after all.)

And thus it was with a much happier attitude than he'd had for two weeks (which wasn't hard, considering, but) that Yusuke went up the stairs to the Paj floor and entered his and Ryou's apartment, saying, "I'm back," as he entered the room.

Ryou's smile widened just a bit at the sight of Yusuke. He could tell that the other had found his cards safe and sound. Yusuke wouldn't look so happy if he hadn't. "I made something for us," he said, gesturing towards the hot chocolate, the blanket, and the unobstructed view of the outdoors they had. The rings were in his pocket, out of sight for the moment.

Looking to see what Ryou was motioning toward, Yusuke smiled brightly. "It looks great," he commented gratefully. After everything that had happened, sitting next to each other, relaxing, and watching the snow seemed like a wonderful idea.

Ryou quite agreed with that, which was why he'd set it up in the first place. He waited for Yusuke to join him, once he was ready, noting that Cyber Phoenix had bent his attention briefly towards Yusuke's deck. He was possibly welcoming them back. Ryou was pleased at their safe return, if only because it made Yusuke happy, which in turn made him happy as well.

Not that he wouldn't have unleashed quite a bit of pain if it had turned out to be necessary because of this. Ryou did not take well to people hurting those who were close to him.

Shy as they were, the Clear monsters didn't exactly come out of the deck for the time being, though they still gave off the air of being quite happy to see Cyber Phoenix. Also, if one had been looking at just the right time, one might have been able to see a tiny robotic arm poking out of the top of the deck and waving, but only for a split second, as it hid itself back in the deck.

Happily, Yusuke made his way over to where Ryou was and got comfortable by his side, not allowing the Clear deck to leave his hands yet, but still a lot calmer than he had been just a few hours before, even.

Ryou's ability to see Duel Spirits for the most part started and began with Cyber Phoenix, though he could on occasion hear brief flashes of others. It was never all that clear, so he missed the little wave the Clear Cube had done. He might have missed it even if he'd been as strongly gifted as Juudai or Yusuke, since he was focused more on Yusuke himself, getting them both comfortable together. He picked up a cup of hot chocolate and sipped a bit. Yusuke had his hands full, but when he was ready to put the deck down, his own cup would be there.

It took Yusuke a moment to get settled, and another moment in order to convince himself to do so, but eventually he managed to work up the courage to put the deck down on the table in front of them - he'd still be able to see it, at least, and would know if something were to happen - and pick up his own hot chocolate. It wouldn't be a very good thing to spill on the cards, after all.

It felt really good to know that they were safe, and to sit here and relax by Ryou's side.

Ryou seldom spoke unless he actually had something to say. He didn't bother with small talk. Instead, he simply enjoyed the peaceful joy of being here with Yusuke. And when he could feel the moment was right, he reached into his pocket and pulled out one of the two rings he'd ordered from the Indigeo.

They were identical, the only difference being in size, and were of silver, and engraved with a wisteria vine design. He thought it would be appropriate for them both, given the matching characters in their names.

He lightly touched the back of Yusuke's free hand with the tips of his fingers and waited for him to look before showing it to him.

At Ryou's touch, Yusuke turned his head toward where their hands met, which then led toward what Ryou wanted to show him. And as he laid eyes on the ring in his boyfriend's hand, his eyes widened slightly. "It's beautiful," he said quietly.

Ryou's smile widened just the slightest bit. "It's yours," he said, just as quietly.

It took a moment for that to register, but then Yusuke's smile widened. "Thank you, Ryou," he replied softly, honestly, before leaning over and kissing him.

Ryou leaned into the kiss and returned it strongly. He didn't move very much closer towards Yusuke, but he didn't need to, in order to take up his hand and start to put the ring on his finger.
