[Thread] It's not your noose.

Nov 20, 2008 17:42

Characters: OU!Connor Hawke, OPEN
Where: The Park, behind Apt2
When: Mid-late afternoon
Summary: Archers need targets, don't they? He's just setting things up for later.
Warnings: None that I can think of.

Connor hasn't taken anyone under his wing for instruction in a dog's age. Or at least that's what it feels like to him. He's passed on the basics to Mia, helping her out when Ollie'd put his foot down against letting the girl take up the bow. But aside from her, there's been no one else. This should be interesting. After settling, he's dropped lines of interest in training in tandem with the once-Arrowette, with Dick hinting none-too-subtly at passing some skills along to a young man named Lyle as well.

Cissie already has a target set up out in the park, but Connor needs a little something more...

He's not sure 'modern' is anywhere near the correct term, but he knows he wants something a little more specific to fire at, aside from a bunch of concentric circles. Limbs work well.

With his requisitioned targets, Connor rigs up the burlap and hay men like scarecrows, bound around their waists to broom handles he's shoved into the dirt. The first three stand. The fourth hang from the trees, tied up by his wrists. The last one gets a noose (mostly because of the rope he's received and has left, he wants to keep in bigger sections).

He sits up on a solid branch, straddling it as he begins to secure the hang-man. How morbid it must look, what with all the matchstick men about, with his final 'victim' draped over the branch in front of Connor, awaiting his fate.
