It was hard to ignore the fact that this was probably the five hundredth, if not more, book she had been forced to read in Econtra since arriving. With the Indigeo taking requisitions again, there wasn’t a reason for her to scavenge about for food. Another activity she could cross off her list of things to keep her occupied.
There always were others she could bother or chat up, alliances she could attempt to form, but right now, she wasn’t in the mood for it. So for now, she was using her time to lay on her bed. A moment to get away from the stupidity and drama that usually plagued the conversations with others and enjoy a halfway decent book. The writing was drab, the characters less-than-dynamic, and the plot was cliché, yet she was still reading it. At a glance, the book appeared to be of the typical kind she read with dubious material, but that was just a front the novel put up. The story would better be described as a somewhat-cheesy love story and while she was mocking it most of the time, there was an underlying thought that it wasn’t so bad. She kept reading it, after all.
Not that she was looking for anything depicted in the book, it wasn’t anything remotely like that. She didn’t need someone to support her or to magically fall in love with her. But… She had to admit, having someone around to be there for her like that wouldn’t be unwelcomed.
