Summary: It's Halloween night, a huge day for monsters, and Ickis decides to go scaring.
Warnings: Ickis's Loomed form, if he uses it, is actually pretty scary. Also, expect him to be popping out of things or making weird

Ssil looked around nervously. She hadn't expected to be out so late, but she'd lost track of time. Still, it was after dark... on All Hallow's Eve...

She jerked around, thinking for a moment that she'd heard a noise coming from an alleyway. "W-who'sss there?"

He had a bite! Yes!

Ickis beat feet to the next hiding spot, deliberately allowing her to hear the movement. Then he slunk to the next one so that if she went to investigate, she would find nothing.

The footsteps didn't help matters. Especially since her imagination kept trying to turn them into the tapping of an enormous spider's legs. Surely they wouldn't bring one of the First Ones here...? She crept up to the place she'd heard the footsteps heading for last to investigate.

Nothing.

Ssil shivered. "Thisss plassse isss making me paranoid," she muttered.

Oh, he was really enjoying himself now! If only the other students at the Academy could see this when he was done!

He slunk around again, at one point deliberately allowing his claws to scrape against the cobblestones.

"Lead them on and lead them wrong," Slickis had once advised his son. Advice that seemed to work brilliantly.

Ssil started at the sound of claws. Nervously, she started to go on her way again, slipping into the odd, hip-swinging walk she occasionally used that would seem awfully erotic for someone her age if it hadn't been intended to make it very obvious that she had a tail with a heavy club on the end.

Perhaps if Ickis were human, the walk would've affected him.

The fact that she had a tail? That was definitely enticing. So she wasn't human either. A monster maybe?

Somehow, he managed to drag his mind back on the task at hand. Swallowing down invisible saliva, he took a deep breath and growled, moving slowly to the next hiding spot, allowing his red eyes to be visible for a few seconds.

Growling and only one pair of eyes. Ssil would have actually been slightly relieved... if it hadn't been for the fact that she was still being stalked down a dark alleyway by God-knew-what. She shivered again - and not just because the breeze was a bit chilly. Her scales took the edge off of that, but they weren't that much thicker than most people''s skin, and anything that could growl like that probably wasn't going to be bothered any more than it would be by an extra layer of clothing.

Ickis started growling more in earnest, the sound growing louder and louder as his body increased in size. He was suddenly thankful that he'd been practicing Looming. It was still difficult, but at least it wasn't as much of a strain.

Ssil spun around. When she saw what was making the noise, her eyes widened. Oh my God... She screamed and started running.

Ickis shrank back down as she raced away, not willing to push himself too much in case he wanted to Loom again later in the evening.

Still, he practically bounced and somehow managed not to squeal with excitement. (She could turn around at any moment, after all.) A successful scare! Victory!

Ssil slowed down a few blocks away, panting. The... thing she'd seen was nowhere in sight... but that wasn't much comfort. She could have sworn she saw whatever it was getting bigger as she watched.

Ickis finally allowed himself a giggle before humming off-key as he started leaving the area. Time to find a new spot to set up shop and wait for his next victim.

His ears twitched with pleasure at the thought. First attempt a success. He was getting better!
