Characters: Fai D. Flourite (OU) and Alvis Hamilton (OU) Where: The park When: After this Summary: Al is stuck in a tree upon arrival and is quite upset. Fai comes to find her. Warnings: None. I honestly can't see any.
Fai headed for the park quickly, worried about the girl that he had been talking to. He didn't think he had ever seen someone so shaken when they arrived. Confused, but never to the point of crying. The problem now was finding the tree. "Alvis-chan?" He called, hoping that she would answer him.
The little girl heard her name called from nearby and looked around for the person. Her hopes rose. Maybe it was Claus, or Lavie, or Guita, or maybe someone from the Silvana. But when she spotted the only figure around, her hopes quickly sank. She didn't know that person at all.
"U-uhm..." she said, trying to get their attention, but still completely shy and worried.
Fai looked up when he heard a sound, looking for any sign of people in trees. "Alvis-chan, its me, Fai." He said, hoping that saying his name would coax her out. "I'm not going to hurt you."
She peaked a worried face over the edge of the branch and looked down at him. It was a really long way down for someone of her size. She clutched her stuffed ram tightly, but it still didn't make its noise. Talking to a small box was one thing and talking to a person was something completely different.
Fai frowned, getting a bit worried. She said that she was in a tree near other trees, right? It could take him all day to find her and she could get into trouble by then. "Alvis-chan, please come down. I won't hurt you. Let's go back to the apartments where its nice and warm together."
She leaned over the branch a bit further and was about to say his name when her ram slipped from her arms. She reached out for it with a small "Ah!" but missed and barely missed Fai's head, landing on the ground with a small "thump".
The blond's head snapped up when he heard the sound. He picked up the ram, dusty it off gently. "Are you Alvis-chan?" He asked, holding up a hand to her in hopes that she would take it.
She gave a small nod and reached a small hand out to try and reach his. She fell just short and leaned out a tiny bit more. She was so close, if she could just reach a tiny bit more... Suddenly Alvis had leaned out just too far and slipped off the branch, falling with a shriek.
Fai reached up the best he could, wondering briefly how someone so small could find her way so high up into a tree. He cried out when she slipped off, dropping the ram to trying to catch her instead.
Alvis didn't hit the ground like she expected. She slowly opened her eyes and saw that he had caught her. Somehow he reminded her just a tiny bit of Claus and it eased her shyness a bit. "Thank you," she said in a small voice.
Fai smiled, relieved that he had caught her. Gently he moved to set her down, reaching out to pick up her ram. He brushed it off again, handing it to her. "Are you alright?" He asked, glad that he found her before something worse had happened.
She took the ram back and squeezed it tightly. She nodded in answer to his question and then held the ram up for him to see. "It's not working," she said, worried.
Fai smiled when she tried to imitate the sound that it made. "I'm sure we can find someone to fix it for you." He said, "There's plenty of people here good with that kind of thing and I'm sure at least one of them will help you."
