Yamato kept himself usefully occupied most of the time, but at the moment, he was just wandering through the park, his thoughts drifting here and there without much to keep them anywhere.

Then he caught the scent of muffins, and blinked. A slow smile touched his face as he saw Takion and he wandered more purposefully over.

"This really does make Econtra seem just a little bit more like home," he said. Muffins on the trees were absolutely normal in the Digital World, after all.

At the sound of Yamato's voice, Takion chuckled as he felt a sense of deja vu. If his memory served correctly, it was through this same sort of situation that he'd met Yamato, after all. "From what I know of your home, m'boy, I should like to see it someday."

Yamato grinned; he remembered that first meeting as well as Takion did. "If we can make it possible, I'd love to show it to you." He thought Takion would really love the place...and it would love him.

Takion motioned for Yamato to have a seat beside him, and then glanced up in annoyance as the squirrel dribbled crumbs on his head. "I intend to see it one day," Takion promised. "When this is all over, I shall not give up until there is a way to stay in touch with all of my dear family."

Yamato settled down and looked up at the squirrel. Yes, even that made it a touch homier for him. "I want to keep in touch with everyone, too. It wouldn't be right to be without all of you."

Takion shut his eyes a moment, letting his mind tread the erratic pathways of his imagination. "I think I can see a way, although I doubt it will be easy to create. I can imagine a between place; a place that is and is not that exists between worlds. And from that between place, perhaps a sort of spiderweb could be built to connect the worlds. But if there is such a place, reaching it and building the paths won't be easy, not at all."

It didn't sound easy. "If there is a way, we'll figure it out. If they can make a machine that brings us all here in the first place, why can't we do something like that to stay together? Somehow or other."

"I'm sure something will be worked out in time," Takion agreed, giving Yamato a fond smile. "There are too many of us who want to stay in touch, after all. As they say, 'Where there's a will, there's a way.'"
