Persephone was on her way back to her apartment via the park having just finished up working on some of her plants when she heard the sounds of explosions coming her way. That... crap. That was not good.

What was even more not good was that it was Belldandy heading the sound of chaos and the younger goddess could only stop for a second, staring. The last she had seen or heard from the other woman was at the ball and to see her acting like this was... unsettling. Very unsettling. Belldandy hadn't struck her as the destructive type, but then again, she didn't know her very well, so.

Fingers curling around her staff more tightly, Persephone called out with trepidation, "Belldandy?"

Belldandy looked over at Persephone and smiled brightly. Oh, goody. This one could be fun to mess with. "I am to cause harm and destruction to all I meet!" She said, making it sound like it was an order of some sort before holding up her hand, a ball of energy forming. "You are not one of the exceptions." She said and fired the blast of energy.

It took a couple of moments to register the the ball of energy flying at her before she scrambled out of the way with a yelp, the hem of her robes catching fire as Persephone desperately beat at them to put it out.

That? That was not cool.

With a growl, brambles poking from the cracks of street, Persephone demanded, "By the Underworld, what is wrong with you?!"

"There is nothing wrong. This is what I am supposed to do." Belldandy said, still smiling. "The master wants destruction." She asid, switching to third person. She had been the master and would be the master again, after all. She gathered up another ball of energy and firing it at the other Goddess.

Persephone didn't have time to get out of the way of that one, the vines coming up between her and the energy ball and taking the force of the blow. It didn't leave her unharmed, the pain transferred from the plants to her as she stepped back with a pained yell.

Shaking, the goddess shot a bramble out to shred at Belldandy's hand.

Belldandy shot a quick blast at the bramble to destroy it, her clothes shifting to her Goddess battle outfit as she took to the air. "I'm afraid i am not to allow myself to be harmed either."

Persephone managed to stifle the cry this time, clamping her jaw shut as her eyes watered with the pain of the death of her plant. It left her with a sick, nauseas feeling in her stomach and through the blur, she quickly took in her surroundings -- off to her left there was an alley. If she could just...

Shifting her weight, eyes on the other goddess, she called up tauntingly, "G-gonna go hide up in the sky with those Entropi bastards~? Coward~"

"It's a better angle." Belldandy said sweetly, holding out her hands in front of her, forming a circle with her hands and started to fire off the blasts in a rapid fire.

That was when Persephone took off, dodging into the alleyway and snatching up the lid of a still intact trashcan, using that as a shield as she ran. One of the blasts hit the lid as she went, causing the metal of it to sear and dent, burning her hand as she grit her teeth and kept going, stumbling for only a second.

Belldandy flew after her, wanting to play a bit more before letting the little mouse get away. For the moment, she just chased, to see what Persephone would do.

At the stumble, Persephone would find herself grabbed by the arm and pulled down another alleyway, a block of ice barring Belldandy from following, if only for a few moments. "Come on," said a familiar voice. If Perry looked, she may think, at a brief glance, it was Dark Mercury, but the uniform this girl wore was different, more regal. It was Princess Sailor Mercury, the same who had helped her in the park. "Two are better than one, in this instance," murmured the princess.

Persephone almost struggled away from Mercury before realizing who it was through the blinding pain throbbing through her hand -- the dent in the lid caused a deep gash on the back of her hand, it rubbing in every time she moved, and there were blisters and welts and... She tried not to think about it and to keep focused, huddling behind the ice.

"A blockade?" Belldandy asked, standing on top of the ice, looking at the two curiously. "I can fly. Didn't you know? Oh well!" She said and sent another blast.

The counterpart of Mercury. This would be interesting if she was anything like her.

Mercury blocked the blast with another barrier, at the same time using her powers to heal Persephone's wounds. Since the cuffs were off, she knew it was dangerous to tackle this alone, but she couldn't leave the goddess to fend for herself either. "Once your injuries fully heal," she said to Persephone in a low voice, Mariner Blade forming in her hand, "Run. I'll take care of this." Or try to, at least, let Persephone escape fully from this madwoman.

"I can't -- I need..!" The goddess flailed, freaked out the trashcan lid would heal to her hand, it still being stuck there despite the burns being gone now, at least. And if Mercury thought Persephone was leaving her there on her own, then she had another thing coming. She may be injured, but she wasn't going down that easily.

"'M not running," she hissed, brambles curling around her, ready to grab anything they could to throw.

"I'm afraid I have to hurt you both." Belldandy said, holding her hands apart and started to chant in her native tongue, wind starting to move around them.
