"Hey, Phones!" Spying Neka, Beat gave a wave and started running over to the tree. "There you are! I been lookin' for you! How've you been, man? It's startin' to get all creepy with everything that's going on, it's like the fry in the middle of a storm or somethin'!" He gestured up to the sky, as if that would prove his point. "Wish this was just like a mission and we could just go beat on some Noise, don't you? We can handle that easy!"

He gave a short sigh. "'Stead we got the world goin' crazy. Yo, I think I liked the Game better than this, alive or not. Shibuya was home, man! Friends! Curry! School...aight, school's not one of the cooler things about Shibuya. But hey, I want somethin' like normal once in a while, you hear?"

She blinked at Beat for a moment before giving him a slight smile. It was good to see that he was alive...well alive as a Player could be, and well. "I wish these things were Noise. With Shiki, Joshua, Rhyme, and you here, we'd all be able to make quick work of them." She was sure that with all five of them working together they would be able to beat the Entropi if they were Noise, but they weren't.

"I'd rather be back in the Game." She admitted. "At least then I know that I can win."

"Aight, man! The Game can't keep us down!" Beat thumped his chest dramatically to make a show of himself. "I'm livin' proof of that, literary!" He grinned, still glad to be one hundred percent alive in all senses of the word, and knowing that made him feel a little stronger.

"Hey. Y'know." Moving to the side, Beat leaned himself against the same tree, arms crossed and legs out a few inches in front of him. "The Game screwed us all over that first week, and after that it was s'posed to screw over all Shibuya or somethin'. I figure this is like that, you with me? Still tryin' to screw everyone over, but only you got a planet and all these people instead of just Shibuya. So if this place is some big upgrade from the game, I bet if we start upgrading ourselves too we can handle it! Whatchu think, Phones?"

"I've still got the rest of a week to play." She said with a sigh, looking up into the branches of the tree. "Things are different in my world." Aside from the physical differences, Rhyme was her partner in what she hoped was her final round of the Reaper's Game. She thought about what Beat said and smiled a little bit.

"I'm sure we can win this Game. We just have to work together." She said.

"Tha's the spirit! Gotta stay positive an' all. And hey, 'less your crazy world or this one is even more screwed up than my Shibuya, I bet it can't be that different." He rubbed his neck, looking around at their surroundings. It didn't take a genius to figure out this place was a little less like home than Neka's world, and Beat caught onto that. "Aight, so maybe this world IS screwed up more than Shibuya, but that still don't change nothin'! We're made of tougher stuff than that."

"I don't think that my Shibuya is that much different from yours." She said, looking over at him. "And this place does seem a bit more messed up than home." She looked up at the Keepers for a moment, wondering if any of the pins that she had back in her own world would work against them. She doubted it.

"That's what I'm talkin' about! We gotta pull it together! Else we're gonna be alien barbecue, yo. Or whatever the hell those things wanna do to us, man." Beat glanced upward, wondering if he should start carrying his board around more often. Could be a good idea--and hey, even if it was tough, he could fight better with it than without. Rhyme was always saying stuff like that, "Better safe than sorry" and all those little expressions he'd heard dozens of times since they were kids.
