Rings. Siegfried was distinctly certain that there were supposed to be rings involved somewhere. And getting down on one knee, although Siegfried was rather glad to have been spared that part. And wasn't one supposed to know it when he was either proposing or being proposed to?
Although, this was Pegasus. Nothing ever went as it was supposed to with Pegasus. It seemed that included even the most traditional things.
Siegfried stood by the fountain in a definite daze as he continued to try to figure things out. He paid no attention to the scenery around him as he paced. He'd fallen into a bit of a daze at the thought of betrothal, and honestly wasn't certain how he was supposed to treat the event. Since Pegasus had been the one to say, "I do," Siegfried guessed that meant that he'd been the one to propose, although he'd always thought that when he proposed to someone, he'd be aware of it.
Having always expected to wind up engaged to someone chosen for him by his mother, Siegfried had always planned on treating a betrothal rather like a business arrangement. "Sign here on the line. Your room will be over here. Here is your percentage of the family silver. An heir to the family fortune is to be expected by such-and-such a date." Plans, however, seemed to have been tossed to the wayside.
But there was definitely supposed to be a ring in there somewhere.
