It wasn't just an idle walk.
Princess Sailor Mercury knew that was clear due to the fact she was transformed, and though her blade was not out, it was only logical that she could make it appear at any time if needed. The city was still in chaos, and though she had a goal of her own... She still wanted to help this place. It was a warning, of what may happen back home, but it was also the present.
Back then... she knew she couldn't change the fate of the city's past citizens. But she could defend it the best she were able, now. That wasn't wrong, was it? Something to ponder.
