Summary: Pegasus's fragile psyche is still damaged from his brush with death. Some comfort cuddling is required.
Warnings: Hurt/comfort. Exactly how much comforting and to what extent remains to be seen.
Pegasus staggered over the broken pavement, coughing from the smoke and dust that hung everywhere. Somewhere in the distance, the sound of screams and cries from other residence provided nightmarish background noise to an otherwise eerily silent world. Pegasus ran, stumbled, and ran some more, constantly scanning the smoky world for something.
He's got to be here somewhere. He can't be dead. I'll find him. I just have to keep looking...
A flash of color caught his eye, and he turned to see a splash of pink mixed in with the gray of the stone and dust. He called out, running toward it with a feeling of relief as he recognized Siegfried. Everything would be all right now that he had found him, except...
At the moment Pegasus realized that Siegfried was dead, he gave a cry and found himself lying in his own bed. He took a deep, shaking breath and tried to get himself to calm down. It was just a dream, nothing to worry about, and Siegfried was right there next to him...
Only he wasn't.
