Summary: After watching him die, Mai needs to see him.

The memories of his false death were as vivid as he imagined a real one would be. The pain of being impaled was indescribable, as was the feel of being pulled away from your body into a darkness that was neither terrifying nor comforting. But, it wasn't real. Whatever happened to him was all a sick and twisted rouse and there wasn't even a mark on him that would give away the fact that he'd had metal shrapnel sticking through his chest and blood soaking his clothes. His skin and clothes were unmarked as if nothing at all had happened.
It had happened, though. Why else would he and everyone else in this Agni-forsaken compound remember it? He was grateful, in a way, for having been brought back...but to mess with people that like that was wrong. Not even his father would have steeped so low.
He balled a fist in frustration, his bending reacting to his turbulent emotions as his fingers caught fire, a vibrant flame dancing off the firebender's hand. Whoever did this...they would pay. And now there was no cuff to stop him from doing what needed to be done.
