Kurogane groaned and rolled onto his side. His brain rushed towards consciousness even if it completely rejected the idea. He died. That stupid little energy ball bastard killed him. The hand on his shoulder had him tensing and the screaming ceased as a pair of blazing eyes tore away from the ground to catch Kurogane's own. Something undeniably broken was hiding in them. Fye ripped the ground below him apart, leaving scratch marks, before shoving his hand into Kurogane's face and digging his nails in. He couldn't think for the moment Fye's eyes bore into his own. That look was so pained and so broken. Something was gone now. Kurogane jerked away but couldn't avoid Fye's hand grabbing him. "CALM DOWN!?" The amber eyes did find Kurogane's, and they darkened as the other's whole aura seemed to become blood thirsty. "Calm down he says~ Can you believe that!?" He snickered and this time advanced on Kurogane. Fye was not even aware of what he was doing, but he was obviously not here. He had no sword. He had a concussion. Those stupid things were still hovering about. The cuffs were off. His opponent was someone he liked who shared the body of the man he loved. Kurogane gritted his teeth and curled his fists by his sides as the other approached him. He could easily get by with all those things, except the last one. That's were his real trouble was

The spit was not appreciated, making him growl a bit since he couldn't see, and thus the punch was not avoidable. His head swung to the side sharply with the punch and he swayed dangerously, vision blurring at the contact, before he caught himself and glared fiercely. "I would advise that you don't make me angry." Fye tightened his grip on Kurogane's neck, the other hand going to the fist that hit him and pinning it to the ground beside him with a little bit of effort. He also shifted to fist Kurogane's hair and lift his head up roughly from the ground, slamming it back again in an attempt to keep Kurogane dizzy and unable to move. Kurogane made choked out a gargled sound, putting his strength into trying to free his hand so he could punch the other again. HOW WAS FYE SO FUCKING STRONG?! The ninja would have growled if Fye would let go of his neck. Letting go of the hand on his neck, Kurogane went to punch Fye again but missed as Fye gave him his third concussion. Then Kurogane lost track of how many times he hit the ground.

No. No. NO! His eyes fluttered closed and he hated as his brain started to shut down again. He would NOT lose the other. He already was made to believe he had failed to protect Fay here, made to believed they both had died. Kurogane refused to let Fye go and lose them in whatever pit they were lost in

Fye picked at his nail with a look that closely resembled bored, taking no heed in what Kurogane was doing as the other tried to stand. After all, this was his prey, his toy, his victim. He was following phantom orders, a phantom person, and a phantom time line. He shifted to his feet as the other did the same, his eyes widening a little as something extremely painful pushed through him again. Enough for him to wonder if there was something he should be remembering... something extremely important

Worry barely made it to the surface of his eyes when Fye started to break. Or mend really, which was odd to call what was happening. He stayed still and watched as the other came close, Fye's movements easier to read now that he wasn't too worried about hurting the other. Some pain might do him some good and jar him out of that place. Or push him deeper. Kurogane grabbed the fist aimed at his gut and in a quick movement had Fye's arm twisted around his back.

"Calm down and think. Think of where you are now and who I am and who you are." Kurogane wasn't sure what he wanted Fye to get out of doing that. Hopefully it would be enough to get him out of the past though and get those voices Fay had mentioned before to stop. He would guess that's what was happening to the other now, or something similar. Kurogane had to stop this now before other people came close. He couldn't let Fye hurt anyone else.

Fye cried out as Kurogane twisted the arm, surprising him. He stared out in surprise for a long while, listening to Kurogane and desperately trying to do as he said. That only brought him to tears. "E-everyone's dead... everyone's d-dead and it's a-all my fault!" What he saw here was just Celes all over again, and what Kurogane was, was a person who needed to die. They all needed to die. He wrapped his free arm around Fye's chest to keep him still. Kurogane would have shook his head but the pain was so intense that even just blinking made his knees want to give out. It was a bad feeling that had her rushing out of her apartment. Kurogane had not answered her... neither had Fay. Which meant something might have happened to them. It had her running hard and calling for them with concern drenching her voice. She tried everywhere she could think of, shelters first and then other buildings. It filled her with such panic and despair and she couldn't find them at all

"Wake up?" He asked it incredulously before starting to laugh. "TO WHAT!? MY MISERABLE EXISTENCE!?" He laughed a little harder even though he didn't feel like laughing at that, before lowering his glare and advancing on Kurogane. "Heh... you're a tough cookie aren't you? I wonder how long it will take until I make you crumble." He grabbed Kurogane's chin and let the glare penetrate Kurogane's gaze

Kurogane returned the glare but his eyes would move in and out of focus. Each heartbeat seemed to be accompanied with a increase awareness of where he was hurt and fog his vision. Yet he still glared as Fye took his chin. He refused to die by this man's hand, that would destroy both of them. "Fye," his mouth opened to say more but his eyes in horror when the new voice came through the fog. That made his vision come back whether it wanted to or not. His eyes locked onto Tomoyo, "No."

He didn't notice the water until it froze around him. It seemed to shock him further awake and he tried struggling against them. "Don't you fucking hurt her!" Kurogane's voice louder then before and his own pain started not to register to him anymore. But he couldn't get out of the ice, all he could do was watch it seemed. Like hell he was going to sit and watch someone else die. He locked eyes with his princess, he couldn't stop this for now. He needed time to find a way but that would be too late. She needed to run and hide and find help. "GO!"

Something about the way Fye held himself made her heart thumb a little harder in her chest, both hurt and frightened. He had a look of someone who would not hesitate to kill. He had that look of insanity, a broken soul that was bleeding out. He had the look of someone who brought a horrible image into her mind
