Jesse remained determined to stay out of Kimblee's sight whenever possible. In this case, she hid in the bedroom. She lay sprawled out on the bed, tossing a pokeball up. Occasionally, she would hit the button on front to try to make something come out, but when the ball popped open, there was nothing. Jesse doubted that she would ever come to terms with the fact that her precious Dustox and Seviper were worlds away.

It didn't take Snake as long as he would have thought to find the room again, and he looked around briefly. It didn't look very different, even though over two years had passed. No, that wasn't right... two years had passed for Snake, but not for Econtra. He didn't know how that was possible, but he couldn't really mind.

"Kimblee," the mercenary said stiffly, noticing the woman on the couch.

"Snake." Kimblee said, smirking as she closed the alchemy textbook and sat up. "Welcome back to Econtra." The sarcasm was thick in her voice.

The smirk turned into an insane grin as she waited for the mercenary to make his move.

Hearing voices, Jesse left the bed to peer out of the room. She spotted a man she didn't know and sighed. Another roommate? Hopefully this one wouldn't be as insane as Kimblee. Of course, knowing Jesse's luck, this would be even more insane.

Crossing her arms, Jesse leaned against the wall and watched for now. She still hadn't yet composed the perfect motto, so it was better to play up the tough gal routine instead.

Fortunately for Jesse, Snake wasn't normally that insane. Even though he had gotten older, that didn't mean he was crazy. "It's been a long time," he said, staring her down. At the moment, he was more interested in just staring her down. Once again, Snake was weaponless- apparently even a tranquilizer was too dangerous of a weapon for the Drafted to carry.

"I'm surprised that man didn't move in here with you."

"Colonel Archer?" She asked, not flinching from the stare down. Nope, the girl wasn't afraid of the mercenary. She shook her head a bit. "I doubt we'd get along as well if we lived together." She said before the smirk reappeared on her face.

The Chimera was fast and in a flash she was off the couch and standing in front of Snake, smirking in her usual insane manner before reaching out and grabbing the front of his shirt and pulling him in for a kiss.

Jesse watched with a smirk. That certainly hadn't been a sight she expected to see. Still not moving from her spot against the wall, Jesse finally spoke up. "Well, aren't you two cozy. I suppose this means I still get a room to myself."

Ergh! Snake made a move to push Kimblee away from him. He stared at her, frowning before he turned to look at Jesse. "It's nothing like that. We were just roommates when I was last here." Trying to explain things that he didn't really quite understand himself wasn't really getting anywhere. "I don't remember you living here before... who're you?"

He was trying to edge away from Kimblee, not really looking forward to sleeping in the same room as Kimblee again.

She just laughed as she was pushed away. She loved messing with people. It was so much fun. Not quite as much fun as blowing them up, but still. She turned her eyes to Jesse and smirked again. "Feeling left out?" She said, that insane grin back.

"And I've got no feelings for Snake at all. Never have, doubt that I ever will."

Finally Jesse pushed away from the wall, sashaying closer to the two. She flashed Kimblee a grin that, while not as insane, was at least full of mischief. "Sorry. Not my type. Either of you."

And with that, Jesse offered Snake her hand. "Jesse, Team Rocket field agent. I'm supposed to be scouting the Sinnoh region with the rest of my team, but apparently that idiot Warden has other ideas."

Snake already had someone in mind, so it wasn't like he minded Jesse not being interested, same with Kimblee. "Hn," Snake grumbled, rubbing his head slightly. "Jesse, huh? Call me Snake." He took the hand after a moment, shaking it. "Can't say I've heard of the Sinnoh region. We're probably from different worlds, then."

"I've already shown her what I can do." She said as she lay back down on the couch with the same playful smirk on her face. She watched the Mercenary and the Team Rocket agent as she plotted what to do next.

"And I would show what I could do, but..." Jesse held up a pokeball as if that explained everything. "The Warden took away my Pokemon. And, before you ask, Pokemon are creatures who battle side-by-side with humans who train them, help them become stronger, and - in many cases - help them evolve into different creatures." The explanation was rattled off in such a matter-of-fact manner that it was obvious Jesse had explained this more than a few times already.

Snake glanced over at Kimblee with mild disapproval. He still remember what she was capable of. With everything he'd seen, Kimblee's powers were so different from everything else. "A world where people train animals that can change into different forms? Otacon would love that. He's always making gadgets to catalog things."

She was glad he remembered what she was capable of. With the cuff on, she was somewhat tame, but that was only because she knew that she couldn't blow people up. She watched Jesse and Snake with mild interest, wondering just what kind of chaos she can cause.

Jesse cocked an eyebrow at the mention of gadgets to catalog things. "We have that already. It's called a Pokedex."
