Summary: Saetan decides to combine apologizing with an anniversary picnic.

The days that had passed since Jaenelle and Tersa had vanished had done nothing to diminish Saetan's grief; nothing would ever make him stop missing them. But he had finally been able to get control of himself and his anger. The things he had done and said while he had been cold could never be undone, but everything had a price and he would simply have to deal with that and try to fix things as best he could.
He had, he decided with a small smile of satisfaction, outdone himself tonight. Takion had created a romantic evening for them once, and he hoped his own efforts would be as wonderful. Hard to believe it had been a year, especially since years so rarely mattered to him anymore. Just one of the many examples of the changes Takion had brought to his life.
He'd chosen a spot near the pond, beneath an ancient tree whose branches he had filled with tiny balls of witchlight that illuminated the scene like stars. Beneath the branches he had set up a picnic blanket complete with food and wine for Takion, and a glass of yarbarah for himself. He had a few other surprises planned for the evening but he would have to wait for Takion to arrive before he produced those.
