Somewhere on the bottom floor of the church towards the very back of the building Helena was throwing very large and very old books across the room as well as tons of other various objects. Loud crashing noises were ringing all around her but all she could consentrate on was the removal of all cockroaches from her new room. Dead or alive.

In the middle of a frantic screaming rampage while standing on top of a table Helena heard someone enter at the front of the church and with her expecting company she called out, "Hullo!!!?" Her British accent rang loud and clear. "I'M BACK HERE!!!"

Helena looked about the room precariously and then dashed from off the table onto a chair, nearly fell off the chair and stumbbled gracelessly out of the rectory doors.

Cissie was close enough to the doors that when Helena came crashing through them, she reacted instinctively and caught her before she could land in a heap on the ground. "Uh, hi," she said, helping her to her feet. "Helena, right? I'm Cissie--it's nice to meet you, finally!"

"Oh! Hi!" Helena peered up into her rescuer's bright blue eyes and grinned sheepishly. "So sorry about that I was on the table and then I kind of bounced off the chair, and I was trying to avoid that little bugger near the door, and..." Helena laughed aloud then picked herself up and said, "I'm very glad to meet you, Cissie! Sorry about all that. I guess I get a little carried away."

Helena blushed at being caught at acting like she was thirteen again: all full of nerves and never quite knowing what to say.

Cissie laughed a little--Helena made her smile. She was so bubbly and rambly and cheerful. It was a nice change; Cissie's friends hadn't been bubbly or cheerful in a long time, here or at home. "No problem, as long as you're all right. You could have hurt yourself!"

Alice had finally decided she would see her corresponding friend. There were several of them really: that character who called himself Joker, for instance. A mental one, yes, but fun, even a little sadistic. It reminded her of times when she too felt that thrill, and that was OK. It was a side to indulge at times, but certainly not at the expense of the innocent. Alice knew of their plight too.

But it was Helena she was curious about now. So she found herself in the church, ice blade in one hand and watch concealed in the other. It wasn't a place Alice was very likely to ever be willingly, but that was only because places of importance were of little consequence to Alice. She was a little snubbing that way.

After the meet-and-greet with Helena was through, Cissie made herself useful and was helping Helena by placing the books in neat piles on the table as they were tossed in her direction. They had been working for a short while when she felt like someone was watching them. She turned to glance behind her and almost jumped. There was a girl she had never met standing nearby, watching them. "Uh... Hi."

Helena walked back into the rectory with Cissie feeling reassured now that she knew she truly had a friend in this new world. A friend who would help her with any little silly thing just for the sake of helping. This made Helena feel good in her heart again and so she joyfully began cleaning up tossed books and trash in a sad and sorry attempt at cleaning what had become an even bigger mess.

When suddenly she heard a gasp and a start to the left of her Helena jumped around with a large book in hand thinking that Cissie must have spotted a cockroach. Instead she saw before her someone quite unfamiliar, and looking a little perturbed at being inside a church.

"WAH!" She jumped and yelped.

Alice smiled. Good, she was still quite enough to do that. At least hadn't lost that ability. "Hello, Helena," she said. "I'm Alice. Sorry for scaring you, but I used to have to be very quite in my occupation back home. At any rate, I'm here to help you with your bug problem."

She spied a nearby cockroach and with an effortless flick of her wrist, froze the insect. She cracked her knuckles, then turned to the other girl. "UI'm sorry, its terribly impolite I didn't introduce myself. Are you a friend of Helena's as well?"

The Doctor had been napping. He'd done that quite a bit in Econtra, spent quite a bit of time dozing away on his pew-bed. Helena's racket though, had woken him from a nice dream about flying, and he staggered, cockeyed and a little groggy, down the stairs and into the sanctuary.

"Wot?" he mumbled, running a hand through his hair. "Woooots all the noise about, then?" Estuary British. "'elena, is that you?"

Staggering forward a few steps, the Doctor yawned widely, seeming to come to his senses. Hands went into pockets, and he ambled, barefoot, down the center aisle.

"Ooh. Is it? I didn't expect you'd be so... well, you know. Young! Nice to meet you, finally, I'm the Doctor."

"Doctor! Glad to see you! I'm really sorry about all the noise, I mean, it kind of looks like I've woken you up... and really sorry about that but I kind of ran into some problems... many little problems with several legs and twitchy heads..."

Helena looked about her to make sure none of those problems were sneaking up on her and suddenly remember her company.

"Oh and Doctor this is Cissie!" pointing at the tall blonde next to her, "And this is Alice." She smiled and pointed to the shadowy wisp of a girl next to her.

And even in the chaos that was the rectory, in the midst of so many strange people, Helena looked comfortable and at home, fitting right in with everything good and odd. She did work in a circus and everything not normal, had, over time, become quite normal and comfortable to her.

Cissie gave a polite, friendly smile. So this was the Doctor--she hadn't had a chance to meet him yet, though they'd exchanged a few comments over the PDA--not many, but some. "Hello. Sorry if we've interrupted anything."

Helena was still bending down towards the pile of cockroaches with a dustpan when it ocurred to her, as the Doctor stood sleepily in the doorway, that she needed a broom, and she had no idea where one was.

"Sorry to, uh, interrupt, Cissie, but, Doctor, do you know where a broom is in this place, I found the dustpan but I need a broom for the cockroaches." She said, scowling at the pile of frozen corpses near her.
