Characters: AU!Zoe Kimblee, OU!Jesse Where: Sor-Enas When: Sometime in the afternoon Summery: Jesse meets her roommate, the Chimera Kimblee. Warnings: Kimblee. Nuff said. Notes: Tag for [pokemon] jesse?
Jesse sat outside, tossing a pokeball up and catching it. Whatever this Econtra City was, it was boring. She'd seen few Pokemon, and there was no sign of a local gym leader or Pokemon contest. Even hearing James rattle off about his bottlecap collection would be nice right about now.
While she tried to figure out what this weird town was all about, the Pokedex Jesse had gotten from the Warden beeped. She checked it and found the words "Sor-Enas" with a map. Since she had nothing better to do, Jesse followed the map and found herself soon in front of a door in one of the apartments.
Normally Jesse wasn't above barging in someplace. But this was an unfamiliar place. Who knew what was on the other side of the door? Being the stealthy thief that she was, Jesse cracked the door open and peered inside, hoping she might spot her missing Pokemon.
Zoe was a light sleeper, something that came from living in jail and then Lab 5 for so long. She sat up, hearing the door open and looked over at the blue eye that she could see peeking inside.
"I don't bite...much." She said with a smirk as she motioned for Jesse to come inside. "I guess you're going to be my new roommate."
Jesse pushed the door open the rest of the way and stepped inside, glaring around grumpily. It appeared that the Pokedex had sent her to a room assignment. And even worse was that she would be sharing a room with some stranger. "I don't suppose my Seviper and Dustox are here," she grumbled.
"Seviper and Dustox? Never heard of them. The only creature in this room is me." She said with a shrug. "I'm Lt. Colonel Zoe J Kimblee, the Crimson Alchemist." She said, introducing herself as she picked her book off of the floor.
"You probably won't find them in the compound at all. Knowing the computer, you've just been brought here alone."
With a frustrated sigh, Jesse dropped into the nearest chair. She didn't look all that impressed with Zoe's fancy title. "Jesse," she responded simply. "Team Rocket field agent."
She watched Jesse flop into a chair and thought for a moment, wondering just what would either startle the woman. She smirked as she walked into her room, returning with a piece of chalk. She then sat back down on the couch and started to draw a circle.
"The computer doesn't seem to like bringing people here with pets or things like that." She said idly as she finished up the circle and then setting a broken piece of chair in the middle of it and then placing her hands on the sides.
A flash of light later and the broken chair leg was a small wooden soldier. She smirked and examined her work before clapping and then picking up the soldier again and setting it in the middle of the table. "You might want to watch out." She said.
"Three...two....one...." And then the soldier exploded.
Jesse had watched with some curiosity to see what this roommate of hers was up to. The last thing she expected was a magic trick. She'd seen illusionists before, though, so wasn't terribly impressed. However, when the toy soldier blew up, Jesse at least had the wits to jump around to the other side of the chair for a bit of cover. "What the hell was that for!?" she snarled.
"You're reaction." She said with a rather insane laugh. Kimblee always enjoyed messing around with people. "I'm an alchemist. My specialty is blowing people up." She said, smirking at Jesse. "But you see, this cuff that we all wear prevents me from doing anything like that."
"If you ask around, most people will tell you I'm insane. They're right." She said, leaning back against the couch and looking at her destruction.
Jesse straigtened up and glared at Zoe. She'd been electrocuted so many times that a little explosion wasn't going to faze her for too long. No doubt Zoe was just trying to intimidate her, and Jesse was not one to be intimidated for long. "Don't you dare do that to anything of mine!"
"Then don't piss me off. I could care less about your things, my things or anyone else's things." She said, raising an eyebrow at Jesse's outburst. It hadn't phased her in the slightest.
"Not everyone here is human, remember that and be careful who you make mad." She said. "There are people worse than me here." Though she wasn't sure who exactly would be worse than she was. After all, she was the insane chimera alchemist.
