Characters: OU!Skuld, AU!Quatre Where: AU!Quatre's apartment. When: Backdated to transformation plot. Summary: Skuld wants to talk to Quatre about a few things. Warnings: None?
"Only because Urd's demon side has been out recently and because she herself expressed some doubt did I consider it." Skuld admitted. "Urd could lie as a demon, but if she's not demon, then her concern would have some valid reason."
"Belldandy is a powerful being. She could find out anything she wanted to if she tried. Her powers are immense and versatile. Honestly, compared to those who were acting evil, gaining her alone could be of more worth in this place. She doesn't need to be violent to do damage. She could easily do serious damage to the mind if she wished it and it would never activate the cuff." Skuld explained and paused. "And it might be why the spell suddenly stopped. It was planned. There was no way she would have reacted like that to just an accident. She was fighting something, so something was trying to force itself in." She answered. "And we don't know why they suddenly stopped, but if perhaps they thought that breaking the connection with the others would allow them to get into her mind..."
Skuld paused and sighed. "She isn't acting differently, but if she's being controlled...well, her personality wouldn't be hard to mimic and if she was controlled, anything she said wouldn't be an exact lie, because she is not speaking." She said.
"Sort of. My visions come from very possible futures of those in a system. And sometimes, when people become very powerful, they end up being able to even go against what is called fate. A general term, but usually there's a set limit to what one can do, but too much power, and that limit increases and therefore, harder to discern." She explained.
"Urd is always able to lie. Her mixed heritage allows it. And no, I wouldn't be able to tell in any way than is different for other people." Skuld answered.
Skuld shook her head. "If she said she doesn't know, then she doesn't know. A goddess is unable to lie. If we try to, we immediately correct ourselves. We could say things in a way that lets people assume something else or not say something at all, true, but was can never give information we know is false. There are stretches you can make, but oneechan wouldn't do that kind of thing on her own anyway. Even without the rule, she wouldn't lie."
"I could check oneechan and see if I can detect demon energy. Even then, it can be hard because of the amount of positive energy in her. It could be her guard was let down and she was taken over. And even if it was Urd, she might not have used demon energy." Skuld explained, the frown just deepening.
"Shinrabanshou is a creator deity. Sometimes they are kind, sometimes cruel. A dual spirit. I would not doubt the cruel spirit would do this. Fayt knows runology. That could be interfering with my magic, since it's close to the magic we Gods have and he's strong in magic. Krad is a being that is not made naturally. That could also interfere and he does have a great deal of magic.
"It's very possible if she isn't shielding." Skuld agreed with a nod of her head.
"In theory, she couldn't. If she's being controlled directly, she could because then that person would be the one lying and not her. Or if that person is justifying certain things in her mind. If we don't know the truth, then what we say isn't a lie because we believe it to be true. If, however, it's only affected her personality and a limited extent of control, then she shouldn't be able to lie." Skuled answered.
"I know some of his power, but not enough details. I talked with him once about making a weapon for the Entropi and he seemed like a nice boy, but he may also be putting on an act. The only doubt I have about Krad was supposedly he was moving someone out of a room that wasn't his own for some reason, which makes it odd. The creator deity isn't from our world, but as I've said, the cruel side I wouldn't put it past for doing this. She even said she 'suspected' Belldandy of doing something bad based on a 'feeling.' Which sounds ridiculous unless something else was going on."
"Demon energy is a negative energy to our own. Our energy is naturally inclined towards the light, demon to the dark. It might be noticeable." Skuld answered.
"I'm not surprised. Empathy is a very handy ability like that. Many Gods and Goddesses have the ability, to a certain extent anyway. If Urd isn't guarding against such things, it should be possible." Skuld said. "And there's no reason to be sad to have such an ability, you know?"
"If her guard was down, all of them pose a threat. Fayt's magic is close enough to our own it could get into her without her noticing until it was too late. Krad is a being of magic and, despite his moral values, is of light and creation. That could get into her system without her noticing long enough to trap her as well. Shinrabanshou...well, they are more powerful than us on an individual scale." Skuld explained.
Skuld put a hand over her heart. "I feel like something is constricting my heart. It's a horrible pain. Like betrayal or lost...it does not necessarily mean the ones who cause this feeling is the one I can't sense, but they are definitely involved." She said, looking saddened. "Either way, it's something I want to prevent."
Skuld nodded. "I can, but not as well as oneechan. She is intune with the present and can get a far clearer picture than I since I am more concern with what part of them shapes their future, but it's naturally hard for us to see other Goddesses in our domain. Oneechan is one of the few with the hope of doing it well. Urd might be pretty good at it because of her demon heritage, but I have never thought to ask, or if she can even see auras for that matter."
"Not many humans have it back home either. It's a special gift, but certainly not a bad one." Skuld said.
"It's possible, but if they're strong enough to block some of my sight, then it's possible they can block all any empathy I have. Shinrabanshou I can't read at all. Fayt is definitely showing a more positive light for me when I try to focus on him and the one known as Krad is...a bit harder to read. Not that it's not showing up as I should supposedly see it, but it's more...not quite a normal emotional aura. That may just be him trying to block me though." Skuld explained. "But if it's the same person who tried to attack oneechan, an aura manipulation is a very possible thing to have to keep her from realizing anything."
Skuld nodded, leaning forward, resting her elbows on her knees, her head in her hands. "We need to stop whatever it is to come."
Skuld nodded. "For now, anyway, it'll be best if I'm not suspected. Oneechan will know if I do anything amiss and if they're in her mind, it'll lose our own surprise. Just like my powers are weak when it concerns Belldandy, hers are weak compared to me." She said.
Skuld nodded. "The better ones can see that. To guide souls, sometimes it's needed to see how far off they are. I can see it as well, since it is general and important to their future. And Oneechan definitely sees it." She answered.

Skuld sighed. "It does seem to be the only way and that is true. Anyone who can overpower oneechan is a force to be reckoned with." She said.
She paused, frowning a bit. "It...depends on what you define as souls." She said.
Skuld nodded. "I know we will...I just hope it's enough."
