[Thread] Flowers at Maria's

Summary: Charmy goes over to Maria's to get some flowers.
Warnings: Shadow is present. Then again, it's only two little blonds talking about flowers together.

Charmy's heart pounded excitedly as the door began to open. However, once Charmy caught sight of who had opened the door, he froze in place as a black and red hedgehog gave her a look that felt as though she were not welcome. Charmy was dangerously close to panicking before she saw a taller figure, a girl who seemed to be much more welcoming than the menacing hedgehog.

She was hesitant before going on, staring a little bit more at the scary-looking hedgehog. Once her eyes had set onto the contents of their living space, her enthusiasm grew. She zipped and darted to several parts of the room, admiring the lilies on the wall and the daisies on the floor. Every single flower that Charmy could ever think of was present.

Grabbing an armful of assorted flowers into a deep hug, Charmy took hold of their scent and sighed. How wonderful! With the flowers still in hand, Charmy flew circles around Maria's head and torso.

"Well, golly!" Charmy exclaimed. "I've never seen so many flowers inside before! Nope, no siree! I always wanted a room like this, but Vector never let me have any. Oh, yip-dippity-doo! This is amazing! Where did you get of all of these?"

Maria's smile broadened, and she laughed cheerfully at the bee's antics. "I'm so glad you like them! It seems that for some reason, just about anything I touch turns into flowers right now, so they're kind of everywhere, as you can see..."

It was refreshing, honestly, to see someone so happy about the flowers. She'd been delighted by the sudden magic of their appearance, herself, the first couple times, but it had gotten a bit wearing. Charmy's enthusiasm was too infectious to ignore, and Maria was happy once again.

Shadow wasn't so amused, although he was evidently less concerned than he had been upon the bee's appearance. He watched child's antics silently and with narrowed eyes as she spun in circles around Maria.

"What do you want," he asked, although it came across as more of a demanding statement than a question.

But Maria waved him off, beaming. "She just wanted to see the flowers, that's all!"

Charmy soon stopped her cheery path around Maria to turn her head towards the suspicious roommate. Most people would've noticed the intent of Shadow's statement as well as any malice that came with it. However, Charmy was not a regular person and had lived under the same roof of people who could barely stand her. Needless to say, the demand just flew over Charmy's head.

At the demand, Charmy's initial face of shock slowly softened. From there it moved on to a smirk and kept changing until it had become a bright, geniune smile.

"All I want -" Suddenly, she rose into the air with immense speed and throw the flowers she had on air, allowing it to flutter all over the room and perhaps even the residents. " - is flowers! Dum-dee-dum-doo..."

Afterwards, she began distracting herself by picking a few flowers from the sides, ignoring whatever reaction Shadow had. This time, she had picked them more selectively, looking as though she were being more picky about the flowers she chose. And while she did this, she continued humming and speaking nonsensical words.

"See?" Maria told Shadow, smiling. The hedgehog merely shook his head in disbelief, and so Maria turned her attention back to Charmy.

"I think the flowers that appear are just sort of random... So if you want something more, I could always just turn more things into flowers and see what comes out?" She laughed a little at the thought. Normally she would consider the transformation a bit of a waste of an otherwise useful item, as pretty as the flowers were, but the Indigeo made recovering pretty much anything possible, so she was willing to make a few sacrifices.

Charmy just stared at the girl in awe as she realized what she was saying. She had the bee's equivalent of a Midas Touch. Needless to say, she couldn't reserved her excitement and flew around the room. "Gasp! You mean that we can turn anything into all types of flowers?! Well Yippity-Dippity!"

The flying, however, resulted in the little bee flying too fast and ended up bumping her head onto the wall. The collision was not really bad, considering the tougher things Charmy had to face. However, the dizziness had made her disoriented, but her excitement was still there, babbling on and on. "-And we could go to the park, and then we can have flowers everywhere. And then we could go to the ugly places and make them look pretty, and..."
