He'd never been adept at anything resembling romance. Zoisite had always preferred quiet places, or even solitude, and the company of his piano to any person other than the shitennou and their lord. Perhaps it wasn't unnatural that despite something that seemed to draw him towards her, he hadn't considered anything of that nature, especially in the increasingly volatile circumstances among the various senshi and shitennou in Econtra.
Zoisite had barely looked up but had to look again when Venus walked in looking very much herself and very beautiful, even to the musician who'd rarely taken notice of various ladies or girls he came in contact with. Her full potential, surely it had been unlocked and realized. Had he just not noticed it sooner? Venus, senshi - and goddess - of love and beauty. It was her.
Why should he feel that sudden jolt at noticing it? Was it because it had escaped his attention at first? He should have noticed the different energy right away if she was truly awakened to that extent.
Suddenly realizing he'd been all but staring, Zoisite kept his composure just enough to avoid outright rudeness. He wanted to look at her, wanted to talk to her. It was a strange sensation, but perhaps not different from what had driven him to seek her out time and time again in his own world.
There were signs of surprise and that internal displacement to be seen on his face, but they were few and scarce. Zoisite offered the goddess a polite morning greeting.
