She was surprised to find Mahaado in her room as she lifted her head off of her pillow. It was obvious that she was crying. She had the locket with the picture of her brother in one hand and she looked like hell.

She was a bit too surprised right now to say anything though.

"Kaiba?" he questioned before slowly getting up from his kneeling position. No need to ask the matter, it was obvious, from just the message alone.
He walked over after a bit knelling on the side of her bed, it wasn't proper to just sit on lady's bed.

Or Kaiba's.

"Everytime I close my eyes...he dies." She said, looking at Mahaado. "I can't save him." She moved a little bit, so that he could sit on the edge of the bed if he wanted.

The selection of the normal replies wouldn't help. Kaiba was a Pharoah...or maybe High Queen, he didn't know. But the laws of their gods would not help the situation. Instead he took the offer to sit on the side of the bed, his expression respectful, thoughtful. What could he say to help her?

Unsure of the next step, he reached out brushed her hair out of the way. "I know."

She kept staring at the picture. "Why?" She asked softly. She wished that she could take the place of her brother, but then he would be in the same situation that she was in. She didn't know what to do. She just wanted everything back to normal and to be able to hold her brother again.

"It is not our place to seek perfection. The struggles in life remind us that we are mortal." He pointed out slowly. "Though you lost Mokuba, as hard as this sounds, you should celebrate his life, rather then mourn his death." He rested his hands back on his lap. "Death can not seperate love, even if he is not here physically, his love for you is."

She nodded a little bit as he brushed her hair out of her face. She didn't know if she could sleep any more, not while these dreams haunted her. She just sat quietly, looking down at the picture in her hand.

"Should I get something for you to drink or eat?" he asked wondering what she would like and if it was inside the compound. "If there is something within my power here to do, please feel free to ask. I will do what I can." He offered quietly.

She shook her head. "No thank you." She said. She wasn't hungry and didn't want anything to drink. "Just...don't leave me alone." She said quietly as she curled back up. She hadn't been able to sleep for very long without waking up from the same nightmare. This was rare for her. She never asked anything like this from anyone. She was too stubborn.

"I shall stay by your side then," He replied with a nod moving closer to sit by her head. Nervous to be so forward he reached over and quietly began to stroke her hair, wondering if it would be of any comfort.

She closed her eyes, hoping to drift off to sleep as he stroked her hair. She wasn't sure how long she would be able to sleep before the nightmare returned and she had to relive the worst day of her life.

He wondered similar thoughts, as he let his fingers drift down her face, soft lingering patterns. Meant to encourage rest and relaxation, though how it would end only Kaiba knew. But Mahaado said he would stay, and stay he would. Even if this looked rather odd, Duel Monster terms strictly.

While the female Seto was not his Seto, she was still a Seto and still very much like his brother. Even if it was an alternate, there was still a bond. Especially with how she couldn't stand the lost of her Mokuba.

And thinking of Seto suffering was unbearable for Mokuba. Which is why he disregarded any and all manners by rushing into her apartment, into her bedroom, and ignored Mahaado as he fell to his knees beside her bed. "Neesama?!" He said worriedly.

She looked up when she heard Mokuba's voice, her eyes a bit too wide and scared. She then reached out and pulled him close. "I can't loose you again." She said softly. She didn't bother to hide the tears. This was Mokuba, her brother, well, not really, but she didn't care.

That... couldn't be healthy a thought process, she couldn't cling to a Mokuba that didn't belong to her own reality. After all, when she returned she would be returning alone, to a world without her brother. But after that horrid gas, who was Mahaado to deny what little comfort the Dragon could find. He adjusted his position to give more room to the black haired cousin of a Kuriboh.

"She is not resting well, but maybe if you could stay a little while with her she might be able to rest." He suggested politely.

Mokuba wasn't surprised by the hug. It was predictable, really. "Neesama...don't worry, I'm here." Mokuba said, hugging her back. He glanced over at Mahaado, seeming to just register his being there. He nodded. "Of course." He said.
