Summary: Robin's in the park, getting started on the day's training session.

"Looks like things are going well," The teen made a wide circle around a sparring pair so he could stand closer to the other boy. Lyle kept his eyes on the two fighters before glancing at Robin with a grin. "For someone who was so nervous about his first time teaching, I'd say you're a natural." The Legionnaire easily recalled the hero's message asking about teaching tactics. That was long ago when it was just him, Persephone and Robin.

"Anyone I should square off with?" Lyle glanced around, looking for free trainees and trying to gauge their skill level.

Robin just smirked. He wasn't going to let Lyle know how close he'd come to guessing Robin's thoughts. "We've yet to see how this translates into real battle -- although Kragok's volunteered to help us out with that."

He grinned. "Actually, yes. What do you say to Nightwing?"

"Wha...Nightwing? Really?" Lyle turned to give a shocked look at Robin. He was going to be training against Dick? The teen had been working on his aggressive attacks, having already near mastered a defensive style. But was it enough? He didn't want to look foolish in front of the man or his younger counterpart. "I'd like to. I just hope it wont be boring for him..."

"Trust me," Robin said with a grin, propelling Lyle with a light push towards his older counterpart. "If there's one thing Nightwing enjoys, it's sparring. I should know."

Dick caught Lyle before he stumbled into him steadying him," Don't worry I won't go too hard on you" he replied with a smirk stepping back. Without knowing Lyle's style or strength he decided he'd he'd start off slow with him and raise the difficulty as the sparring session went on. " I'm ready when you are"

"Right." Stepping a few feet away to give a good sparring area, he shook off any apprehensiveness and settled into a well worn stance. When training in Earthgov, science had been his focus, thus his style became specialized in quick take-downs and defense. Lyle had always had Jack, his childhood friend, as back up and muscle on missions. Since training with Karate Kid, and then Robin, the Legionnaire integrated many other aggressive styles into his own.

There was a nod between the two combatants, signaling the start. Lyle didn't waste any time, starting with a high kick, guarded and actually just being used to gauge how difficult it was going to be.

Dick smirked as he caught lyle's leg as he sent the high kick at him. with one fluid motion he used the leg to flip lyle over and let go quickly. " First lesson..never use a kick when your opponent can see it coming. Start with a disabling move..or a low sweeping kick that cannot be caught" he observed and slipped into a stance of his own knowing lyle was going to come back at him as soon as he got back up.
