He wandered. A solitary figure garbed in a long, brown coat. He moved through the city with the restless pace of a captured animal, dark eyes wild and alive with the cool of the night air. Strides long and impatient, he traversed the streets, and came, for a moment into the same plaza as the young man standing there... and seemed entirely not to notice him. Or perhaps he was merely ignoring him in favor for his own, internal world.

A closer look - if the other did chance a look - would reveal that the other man looked young, approaching his early thirties quite possibly, but easily in his mid-twenties, with sharp dark eyes and what would best be described as a spiky mop of plain, brown hair. Wearing a suit underneath that coat, also a tie, but both were slightly rumpled, as if he might have slept in them one night or two.

The man was lost in his own thoughts, hands shoved into his pockets, staring down at the water in the fountain. Someone could have probably tap-danced in front of him, and he likely wouldn't have noticed.

Harth had watched the man enter the plaza, gazing upon him. he noticed the dark visage, distant temperament, but paid little mind to it. The man was clearly distraught. Dressed like they did centuries ago in the uppers, atleast that's what history logs. He stood there infront of the fountain right next to the man, still casting no reflection, studying the man. He waited only moments before speaking.

"Cil for your thoughts?"

The man looked up sharply towards the other, focusing his black eyes from the fountain to the one standing next to him. It was obvious that he'd been startled from... whatever it was he'd been thinking of. Adjusting his coat over his shoulders, the slender man took a few steps away - mostly for the sake of personal space.

"I'm going to guess that's a small amount of your world's currency, perhaps even the lowest. I find my thoughts to be usually worth far more than just a mere pittance, as my thoughts are usually confusing and complicated, and I usually have to drag some poor idiot alongside me just to translate to the rest of you apes. Blimey."

The man stared back at the fountain.

"Could live off a cil for a bout a week or two." Harth replied. Sounded like one of the watchers council. Stiff and British with a tad of the crazy. Harth liked him.

Duo sighed, wandering along the street. Under his arm, he had his basketball tucked, heading over to find something to eat after having just practiced some hoops. He was bored. In his peripheral senses, he knew Harth was there, but just wasn't really paying all that much attention to him. He really didn't care that much, after all. Just as long as the jerkwad stayed away from his friends, that's all that really mattered.

And in a moment, the lurk was walking at the other's side. "How's it going, Maxwell?" he said curtly, throwing on a guise of friendliness, which was little less then forced. To him, Duo in either of his incarnates, represented a rival and a obstacle, so, this would be entertaining.

Duo almost jumped... almost... but he didn't. Subconsciously, he'd known the vampire was there. He stared at him a moment and then sighed. "Fine," he said flatly. He shifted the basketball in his grip, still walking. "Early night," he remarked. The days had been getting shorter, thanks to summer coming closer to an end. Duo was mildly uncomfortable with that fact.

"Might actually have to do something.. How's..." he paused for a few seconds, "How's Quatre?"
