Summary: Lina's making the most of what's left of the summer by conjuring up waterspouts all around the compound for people to frolic in. Bring your swimsuit. ^_^

Poor, sheltered Gino had never heard of such a thing as running through sprinklers on a hot day. He'd spent most of his pampered life believing that the only thing sprinklers were good for was watering the lawn and keeping stray cats out of your yard. But apparently he had been very mistaken! And in his excitement to see for himself what 'running through the sprinklers' was like, he had left his room with a hop, skip, and a jump.

Of course, he hadn't really thought to wear a swimsuit; he simply came out in his most comfortable, casual outfit (complete with fabulous orange shades on top of his head)... and was immediately startled by a sudden spout of cool water up from the ground. The Knight jumped back in surprise, gazing up at the fount that rose even taller than him, a smile slowly spreading over his face. "Sprinkler, hah?"

Lina spied the newcomer and greeted him with a smile and a cheery wave.

"Hi!" she sang out. "Come to join the fun?"

Gino's attention was distracted from the waterspout by the glimpse of a wave and a greeting. He turned his head to catch sight of Lina and smiled back when he realized it was he she was calling to. "Hey there! Sure did," he replied. "Are you the one who was gonna make the sprinklers?"

"That's me!" she agreed, preening a little. "Lina Inverse, sorcery genius. I don't think I caught your name."

"Hi, Lina!" Gino responded energetically, weaving around the fountain that had come up between them to stick his hand out to shake. "I'm Gino Weinberg, Knight of Three. Nice to meet you!"

Lina gave him one of her more pleasant smiles. She did have a soft spot for these blue-eyed blond knightly types.

"Nice to meet you too," she agreed. "So, hey, you aren't really dressed for swimming. Couldn't get the computer to give you a pair of trunks?"

Gino's smile faded just a little at this question. "Ah, I guess I hadn't thought about it before I left," he mused. Good going, Gino. "Isn't what I have good enough? I don't mind if it it gets wet."

"Well, I guess if you don't mind it getting wet," she said with a shrug. "Though you'd think a knight would be better at planning ahead."

"I was sort of in a rush!" he admitted, rubbing the back of his head with something of a sheepish smile. "I was excited to see the sprinklers."

"Hey, this is nothing, really," said Lina. Just to show off, she made a spout of water twist itself into loop-the-loops as it fell. "Just having a little fun."

Gino turned his head up to stare at the geysers as they began twisting and looping, eyes getting big and curious. "...Are you doing all that?"
