Characters: OU: Mizuno Ami [PGSM], OU: Tsukino Usagi [PGSM]
Where: park, near the pond
When: after
this conversationSummary: Mercury is still somewhat unstable. She wants to meet with her dear U~sa~gi~chan... and she has a surprise in store.
Warnings: Mercury is a warning again. Also, really nasty mind game going on here.
Even as the plan had formed in her mind, Mercury hadn't felt sure of what she was doing or why. It was as if something was compelling her. She didn't like that sense; it made her uneasy, resentful, vaguely worried. Yet what it was compelling her to do... She smiled. It was predatory.
So the princess wanted to pretend she wouldn't destroy anything? That the master was only a boy she'd had some feelings for but could give up easily? By now it was far too late to hope for ignorance to be any protection, and so Mercury felt no reluctance to test just how the other girl would react in the situation that would destroy Mercury's world eventually. Illusions, illusions could be quite real enough for her purposes. It was important information to have, and the shock and pain Usagi would feel in the process was no concern of hers. She wouldn't let it be.
She smirked as she saw usagi's last message. So cheerful, so hopeful. That girl would never understand. Only seeing what she wanted to see. Mercury understood. Now that girl who led that charmed and loved and perfect life would see what she did not want to see. Because no form of the princess could stand up against a reality - even in potentia - that wasn't what she wanted to see.
Mercury tucked the communicator away and left her apartment. She wanted to arrive first. She managed to do so, and arranged herself in perfect position so that the location she intended to cast the illusion in wouldn't be visible at first. When Usagi arrived, she would only see Mercury standing near the pond.
