Siegfried wasn't accustomed to free time. He'd always lived with every moment of his day planned out. And he'd tried to maintain his schedule in Econtra as best he could. However, with Schroider Corp a world away, there was only so much Siegfried could do.
A stack of paperwork on Siegfried's desk attested to his hard work. He knew Pegasus would find it ridiculous, but Siegfried wasn't about to take a vacation until he'd done all he could do to ready himself for his return. He'd gotten the contract with Industrial Illusions, created a balanced budget for company operations, determined the most likely problems that would await him upon his return and the best possible solutions, and had been working out online game ideas based on what one of his roommates described as the most popular game on his world. It certainly wasn't Duel Monsters, but now that Schroider Corp and Industrial Illusions had established ties, Siegfried felt confident that he could easily work in Duel Monsters tie-ins to the game.
However, it was finally striking Siegfried that, at the moment, there was nothing he absolutely had to do. His day was entirely his own. No one would make any demands on his time. Such a realization was both frightening and liberating. It was an unaccustomed freedom for the young CEO.
As Siegfried dressed in front of the mirror, he realized that it wouldn't hurt if his personal trainer was around to take up his time. He was starting to look a little soft. And, of course, a visit from his masseur would be nice for afterwards. But that wouldn't happen because they weren't here. Siegfried's gaze strayed to the rapier he'd impulsively requisitioned as he began to accept the fact that he would have to work-out on his own.
Finding a basket, Siegfried began filling it with everything he could possibly need. There was the rapier, a comb and brush to fix his hair after exercising, a towel in case he decided to swim (he supposed the lake would have to do, although he would have infinitely preferred a pool), his PDA, a bottle of water, and a peanut butter sandwich (truly common fare, but at least within the realm of Siegfried's culinary capabilities).
As soon as he'd polished off a bagel and a cup of coffee, Siegfried gathered up his basket and hurried off. It was early enough that there would be few about now, but Siegfried knew that would change as the day progressed. He hadn't touched a fencing foil since before taking over his company, and knew he didn't want anyone witnessing him making a fool of himself with one now. So he headed straight for the furthest corner of the park to begin practicing.
