The more Yusuke thought about it, the more he decided that he really should have made more of an effort to actually get into contact with Chronos-sensei. He hadn't really spoken to him all that much, and now he was kind of regretting it. Sure, he'd always been somewhat closer to Daitoukuji-sensei, in some ways, but...

He found a place where he could stand that was closer to the side of the room than anything else. It was close enough that he wasn't apart from the main flow, but far enough so that he wouldn't be in the way if someone wanted to move to another area of the room.

Fubuki crept up behind his old friend and slung an arm around him.

"Should have known you'd be hiding," he said. "Are you going to get a drink?"

Yusuke looked up when he felt Fubuki's arm around him - he'd been too lost in his own thoughts to notice him come up, but he smiled somewhat when he saw him.

"Soon, yeah," he replied. He hadn't yet, but he would at some point.

Fubuki nodded. "Good that you came, anyway. The more people here the better! But you should socialize a little more. Do you know everybody here?"

He looked around so that he could accurately reply to Fubuki's question, and after doing so, Yusuke replied honestly, "There are a few people I don't know, actually..."

"You should introduce yourself to a few of them," said Fubuki. "Don't be nervous - people like you."

At those last words, the tiniest of doubts flickered through Yusuke's head at their verity. After all, because of his at the time unbridled curiosity, lives had been changed, and not always for the better, even if in his world, at least, no one had died because of it.

But he kept that doubt to himself, replying, "I guess it couldn't hurt."
