Mao was confused. He'd already met with C.C. for the time being, but what about that meeting with this lady? She said he would come to him, but she hadn't yet. And now he was worried and wandering around the compound in search of the lady. Maybe it was a bad idea...things were getting loud again.

He sat down on the ground, plugging his ears with his hands, but the noise was still there, perhaps with even more clarity than before. He wanted C.C. back again...

Belldandy felt Mao near by and quickly made her way to him. She could tell, he was looking for someone and that was probably her. It seemed she had waited too long, but at least now they would have privacy. "Mao-kun." Belldandy said, putting her hands on his shoulders. "Do you hear the silence?" She asked, forming a barrier around his mind. Her own had already been blocked since the beginning of the transformation.

Mao looked up when Belldandy put her hands on his shoulders, but did not let his hands fall from his ears until the noise began to decrease. Was he just imagining it? No...the noise was really lessening!

"The...silence..." he muttered before vigorously nodding yes. It had never been so clear before, not since C.C. gave him this power. Not even with C.C. around!

"Yes." Belldandy said. "I can make everything silent for you." She added, smiling gently.

"E-everything?" He suddenly looked hopeful. The idea of being able to keep everything silent again...it hadn't been too long since he got his Geass, and while it was useful, it was just too loud.

Mao hesitantly nodded again, waiting for Belldandy to give a solution.

"Yes. Everything. I can cast a spell to block everyone from entering your mind against your will. Of course, trying to use the power too much with that barrier will weaken it and break it down and I'd have to put it up again, but I can easily do that." Belldandy explained.

Mao nodded eagerly. This would mean...this would mean that he could finally have peace of mind...and he would still be able to see C.C.! C.C. was here! This was perfect.

"O-okay!" Even thoguh he was so eager for it, the words still stumbled out of his mouth clumsily.

Belldandy nodded and smiled. "Look into my eyes, Mao." Belldandy instructed, kneeling to be more even with him.

Mao nodded vigorously and did as he was told, staring very intensely (and curiously) at Belldandy's eyes.

"Now, don't move. It'll take a few minutes to make it permanent." Belldandy said. Which was true. It did take two minutes to set up that sort of spell to do as she said. She took five, adding another spell that wouldn't become apparent until she decided to activate it.

It took a lot of effort on Mao's part to keep his head still and his eyes open. They were beginning to itch really badly, so he resorted to blinking every now and then, but otherwise stood perfectly still, waiting for some sort of magical transformation.

Belldandy finished the spell to keep things silent after the five minutes, along with the now dormant spell. "Done. No voices should enter your head now."

Mao looked up eagerly to find that the constant racket in his head, the thoughts of everyone crammed in a 500 meter radius around him, were now gone. Completely gone.

"It's so quiet..." he muttered, looking around to see people, but not hear them. It was, at the same time, incredibly strange, but also incredibly relieving.

"Of course. I'm very good with my spells." Belldandy said, smiling gently.

He stood up somewhat shakily before his legs got used to the weight of his body on them once again and he gave Belldandy a wide grin. "Thanks!" he gushed.

Belldandy smiled and patted his head. "Your welcome." She said. "I was happy to help." She said. And now you're my puppet.
