Yamato hurried along, keeping Piemon close to himself and keeping an eye out for that Entropi thing. He muttered a few words he didn't want Piemon to hear under his breath, mostly concerning his jackass of a husband who had went out without him. Yes, protecting Piemon was all important, but they could've both taken him to the Arena and then went out to fight. What good it would do, he didn't know, but that was what he did.

"Are you all right?" he asked his son as they got closer to the Arena.

Piemon nodded, clinging to Yamato with one hand, the other covering where his cheek was stinging. "Where's Mommy?" Piemon asked nervously.

"Fighting that thing." Yamato wasn't going to lie to him. "I'm going to go find him once I get you to the Arena." He hoped Jaenelle or someone else he knew would be there to keep an eye on him.

Hikari waved. "Master Yamato! Over here!" She was relieved to see Master Yamato and his son.

Piemon clung to his Daddyo's hand tightly, but moved with him, following Yamato's lead. "You'll be careful, won't you, Daddy?" He didn't want to loose his Daddy so soon after gaining him.

"Of course I will." Yamato spied Hikari and headed over that way with Piemon. He wasn't going to lose his family, or let them lose him, if he could help it.

"Where's Mr. Bak-" Hikari cut her question off, seeing the answer in Master Yamatos' face. "I'll watch Piemon, Master. Go find your husband," she said, taking Piemon's hand free hand. "We'll be helping out here."

"Tell Mommy he's in BIIIIIIIIIIIIG trouble when this is over!" PIemon said, trying to joke. "I'm going to ground him for running off without us!"

Yamato flashed him a smile and started to turn away...then he turned back and knelt down so he could look Piemon in the eye.

"There's something I want you to know, Piemon. I don't really know how it happened, but Jaenelle told me it's so, and I believe here." He hesitated only for a moment. "You are my son. Not just because I love you but you are. Like Takeru is my brother. My son by blood."

Hikari sucked in a shocked breath. Then Piemon was Master's nephew.... even more reaso to protect him.

Piemon's eyes teared up, and he wrapped his arms around Yamato. "R-really?" he wanted to know. "No joking?"

Yamato nodded, holding him gently. "Really. I wouldn't joke about this. You can ask Jaenelle if you want to be sure."

Hikari smiled, and watched silently. To herself, she swore to make sure Master Piemon was kept safe.
