If he had been alone in this place with no one else to protect he would have plummeted to the abyss, gathered the full dark strength of his Black Jewels and unleashed them on the Entropi. He had annihilated entire armies and worlds before, and even if it haunted him to do so he would have done it again here. He had no doubts he could have entirely destroyed their enemy; it was simply a part of what he was. But, unlike Jaenelle, he did not have the skill to differentiate between friend and foe, did not have the time to weave a tangled web that would have done that for him. So instead all he could do was defend, drop a Black Shield around the Arena and stand ready to destroy and individual invaders who made their way there.
That helplessness, more than anything else, was the reason for his fury.

Yuuko had approached him from behind when she had noticed him enter. She offered him a smile, but it was grim due to the situation. Keeping up this shield would be a lot of work and she was afraid that they wouldn't be able to make it last the entire time it would be needed.

A fond smile crossed his face at Jaenelle's arrival, which turned thoughtful at the suggesting. "Yes, I still have it. And I believe that would be a very good idea." Turning back to Yuuko, he explained, "Jaenelle created rings for each of the males in her first circle to wear around their," A cough, because this was polite conversation after all, "Well, you can figure that out. Among other things they can trigger very powerful personal shields. It would power itself, leaving us all free to work."

"That would be a tremendous help," She said, glancing at them both. "Please do so. I'll be keeping up my barrier as well, however. Better safe than sorry, right?"
