Twisting and pulsing, its contained form was immediately aware of the pitiful organic creatures surrounding it, trapped like insects in a too-small hive.

Like a man clapping his hands to squash a bug, the ball of energy that was an Entropi had killed a score of them. Just like that.

Alex Noah, whose shield had just saved his life, hadn't gotten to know any of them. Maybe some were bad people who the universe would be better off without. There was no way he could say that for certain about any of them now, much less anything at all. What he did know was that these were people. Real people who had had lives and their own stories to tell.

Entropi or no...it was going to pay.

The Dragonmaster sprang to his feet as soon as the Warden's command reached his PDA. Anger overrode his sorrow for the slain as he dashed out onto the Commons to help avenge the fallen.

And yet...Alex did not attack. Instead he clasped Althena's Sword before him, closing his eyes as the voice in his mind reached out, or tried to reach out, to an old friend beyond the stars.

Nall, if you can hear me... lend us your power. We could use it right about now.

A burst of energy suddenly ripped through Alex in answer. When next he looked, both he and all those currently engaging the Entropi were engulfed in white spheres of protection. He smiled his thanks as he tightened his sword grip and lifted the Red Dragon Shield before him, waiting for his chance to strike.

(OOC: Alex has just cast White Dragon Protect on the following: himself, AU Alexiel, AU Quatre, AU Solomon Kane, OU Giovanni, AU Ichigo, AU Zolf Kimblee, OU Hiiragi, OU Nightwing, and AU Bakura. The effect is that one and only one attack dealt on the affected will be completely nullified no matter what type it is or what level of damage it deals.)

The Entropi, almost seeming to spin and face the Dragonmaster, offered up the challenge the boy sought. Several threads of white-hot energy shot out at the young man as he stood waiting for a chance to attack. It seemed not to care about physical barriers, any chance of resisting the Entropi's electric flails with a shield alone, utterly impossible.

A searing crack of blazing energy was also offered to Quatre for his trouble to stop and try and warn Alex.

The electric fails crashed into the ground where Alex had been standing, missing him. But only because the Dragonmaster had made a leap and caught the energy blast meant for Quatre. Said blast overwhelmed the white dragon barrier surrounding himself, and boundless pain flooded every corner of his being.

The boy fell to his knees and tasted dirt, sword and shield clattering to the ground. His world faded to black as he slipped into unconsciousness...
