The really small things that make life worth living?

Okay, flist, here's a question for you.   I was thinking the other day about how there are certain really small things that make a huuuge difference in how smoothly life functions.  Often these are things that (a) have no close substitutes, and (b) are slightly awkward to go buy because you have to figure out where to get them.

Here are some that occur to me off the top of my head.
*  Wooden matches in a box
*  A cloth measuring tape (the kind you use to measure your waist)
*  Sharpies big enough for labelling boxes and packages & small enough for labelling CDs
*  Mesh bag for putting lingerie in the washing machine
*  Scissors that live in the kitchen.

What would you add?  Think CHEAP small things.
