Work log

So how does econn spend a Saturday at work?

- Rushed in in a total panic at 6:00 AM.
- Logged into call center program at 6:05. Prepared to apologize for tardiness.
- Checked email, learned she wasn't supposed to be in until 7 AM. Uttered several unrepeatable words. Logged out of call center.
- Considered working on case backlog, but decided against it since she was not yet on the clock.
- Slacked around on LiveJournal.
- Logged in at proper time.
- Continued slacking on LJ and Fark.
- Answered a few phone calls. Longed for days when she was allowed to be unix-only on the weekends.
- Practiced writing kanji on the whiteboard. By which I mean writing "花組さいこう!" because Yumiko is amusing.
- Grew restless from sitting too long.
- Received call of nature. Answered it.
- Attempted otokoyaku dance from Elisabeth in the empty women's restroom.
- Caught sight of self in mirror. Grew embarrassed at entirely graceless flailing. Went back to desk.
- Answered some more calls. Cursed anyone ever involved in the creation of the Palm Treo.
- Craved a burrito from Cosmic Cantina.
- Went to lunch an hour late because everyone had long phone calls come in. Cursed the Treo again for good measure.
- Drove all the way to downtown Durham to get aforementioned burrito.
- Picked up a copy of the Independent.
- Returned with 5 minutes to spare on lunch break. Began leafing through Independent.
- Decided she should probably actually do some work.
- Realized that it was currently April 1 in Japan, and that it was not only the last day of PariSora, but Sena Jun's birthday.
- Distracted self imagining the certain revelry at this evening's performance in Tokyo, and the giant Tsukigumi combination wrap/birthday party.
- Decided she does not envy Asako the hangover she may likely have tomorrow morning.
- Sporflesquee'd at thought of an adorably hungover post-birthday Asako.
- Realized she was too distracted to work cases anymore. Went to dance in the restroom again.
- Banged elbow on sink. Went back to desk.
- Answered more calls. Proclaimed a general curse on all things Microsoft.
- Slacked on LiveJournal again.
- Reached the end of the day. Wrote "はい、出来ました!" on the whiteboard.
- Decided "頑張って!" was a more inspirational sentiment. Ended up dissatisfied with how kanji turned out. May rewrite it on Monday.
- Shut down laptop.
- Went home.
