weekend and photos
i actually had both days off this weekend, so i got to have lots of fun hanging out with the Family. on Saturday, we started the morning by going to Pike Place Market. we had fresh donuts for breakfast and just generally looked around at all the cool stuff. Baby Girl got a balloon doggy from one of the street 'artists'...and proceeded to chew on it for the rest of the morning. we also bought salmon belly, cheese, and sausage from the various vendors (see links over each yummy). it was much fun. spent the rest of the day doing useful stuff like laundry and cleaning and errands, but that was fun, too. in its own way.
Sundays are when Baby Girl has Waterbabies. Sister was really nice and let me join them in the pool today. it was so much fun! of course, Sister says that now that i have some experience, she and Norm can run away for the weekend some time and i can still take the little one to class. *l* mostly i just wanted to see how swimming with a toddler works so that we, "The Girls", can go do free swim some Friday night when i don't work. regardless of any of that, though, it was a lot of fun to swim with baby girl. she likes it so much. i'm pretty sure her favorite part is going under water. i felt so special getting to swim with her. i am the luckiest woman in the world to be so close to my niece when she's in the stage of her development. she grows and learns so quickly and every discovery is exciting to her...and me! Sister says i'm practically a mom, but i still say it's better to be the Tia. : )
