industrious
so i got a lot done today. well, not a lot lot since it's a work day for me, but enough. Sister and i went to the gym to start the morning. you know, while 7 am is way better than 5 am for going to the gym, 7 am on a Saturday still pretty much sucks. but we went, we were measured, we exercised, go us! after showers and some Starbucks breakfast, Sister and Zoe headed off to the park to play while Norm and i went to move me into a smaller storage unit. yay! now i pay less in storage rent! without all my furniture, my stuff fits into a unit half the size of my previous unit...with a little room to spare even. of course, Norm stacked some of the boxes so high it's going to take Sister to get them down. *l*
after we finished at the storage place, we met the rest of the Family at Sleep Country where i purchased a new mattress. i got a great deal on a supposedly defective return, too. i laid on it in different places for several minutes and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, and the price was less than a third of the original price on the sucker, so i went for it. it's actually a pretty nice mattress: high coil count and a seriously cushy pillow top. more yay!
once through spending my hard-earned plastic money, i had just enough time to go home, get a neighbor to help me carry the mattress into the house (the Family had more errands to run), eat some lunch, and change before i had to head off to work. another eight hour day. okay, fine, working eight hour days means that i get more days off, but eight hours of retail sucks. my feet are not happy...though less pissed off than they often are. one of my last customers spent over $500 though, so that was cool. altogether, though, i didn't really want to be there...and i don't really want to go back tomorrow.
anyway, i'm tired and thinking that it's bed time. hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. : )
