or some such. had a good weekend. hung out with J, as usual. we went to La Booktique and Jack Astor's and Wendy's (hee). we made cookies. i didn't get anything particularly useful done...well, one load of laundry. this is a bad thing since i'd like my apartment to be all clean and pretty before i leave for the holidays. thus, a to-do list...
- Wash dishes
- Clean kitchen
- Straighten living room
- Straighten office area (it's in the living room, but it kinda has its own identity)
- Clean bathroom
- Straighten bedroom (low priority, but it would be nice)
- Ready and mail holiday cards
- Finish laundry (at least one more load)
- Pack
- Finish gift shopping
okay, other than the cleaning, it's really not bad. well, the gift shopping might suck, but i can do some of that as i travel and in Arizona and stuff.
i was oddly productive yesterday...especially for a Monday. i finished created the pool of species for my data simulations and started on the program to create systems (i.e. input files) for the runs. i also called CLC and Sallie Mae and may have finally worked out what to do about the one loan that didn't get included in my consolidation loan even though it was on the application. went the the gym. did another load of laundry when i got home and did a little bit of organizing in the living room. i also wrote the little news letter thing that i'm going to include in my holiday cards, but that ended up taking longer than i thought. as a result, i stayed up rather later than i intended or even wanted. oh well. we all know i'm not good at going to bed on time.
somehow, i managed to drag myself out of bed and to school. i haven't been quite as productive today, but i'm not doing too bad. i photocopied the the news letter thing, and i called The Folio Society regarding the books that are missing from my order (the invoice said they were included, but they weren't there). the Robert Louis Stevenson books were apparently boxed seperately but sent at the same time. i really, really hope they get here before i leave. i checked on the simulations i have running right now. i was hoping they'd all be done, but there are two still stubbornly hanging in there. of course, Louise is being cranky and not letting me remote in, so i can't even graph the ones that have already finished. i don't want to try doing a direct connection or attempt to use my USB flash key while i still have stuff running...just in case. haven't worked on the system creator program yet today, but i prepared a rough draft of the abstract for the presentation i hope to do at the
American Ecological Engineering Society Annual Meeting. of course, it's always fun trying to figure out how much of my project will be done five months from now and should be included in the abstract. but, it's done (ish), so whatever. talking to J on the phone right now and trying to decide if i want to run errands tonight or hold off until...well, there's the answer. don't know when i'd do errands otherwise. of course, i don't know if my errands list is complete either. oh well. it's not like i live in the middle of nowhere any more.
