Laying the Smack Down

OK... this was definitely the laziest day I've ever had since high school. No joke.. I did NOTHING but play video games and did a bit of computering.... Wow, this guy is crazy, you're thinking! And you're right! But get this... !

The meat and potatoes of this post is the setup I've got going in FFX. In typical Final Fantasy fashion I was presented with the old 'save point just before the boss' scenario whereafter I found myself battling the unkillable (man I HATE when games do that!) Maester Seymour and his weird dead life stealing counterpart. HP of Seymour 70,000 and little counterpart 4,000. The layout of the boss is the same as encountered previously. If you kill the little 4,000 HP guy he steals life from the 70,000 HP guy to keep himself alive (I'm sure some of you are familiar with this from having played). I didn't think (at first) that they would just throw the exact same fight in with a doubling of the HP.. so I suffered a couple of casualties before deciding to prepare a bit before jumping in and getting killed. I reset and began the building. I managed to acquire enough spheres to get Lulu to the final level of her spells, in the process grabbing some goodies for the rest of the party! I also decided to get all the aeons to overdrive since they only get one chance at Seymour before he banishes them.. so right there I've got over 50,000 damage!!!! Stupid damage limits on 4 aeons is 9999 but my baby Bahamut can do well over that thanks to its innate 'Break Damage' attribute! NICE! AND I have every character at overdrive as well! This will be one of the pinnacles of my video gaming career! This battle, that would normally take a very long time and a LOT of healing/reviving/etc should now consist of a simple and systematic womping! I'll probably mention in my next post how things went.. but with this setup... is there any question of the outcome and the rapidity of its arrival?

It took a while to get it all going... but man is it going to be pretty. I hope (though strongly doubt) that Seymour will die for the final time this time (where die is a figure of speech since he is actually already dead... perform the sending already? holy crap) as I'm tired of his stupid, annoying idioticness. I mean.. the whole persistence thing worked with Sephiroth back in VII but here? Give me a break.

Anyways, it should be a good show. Maybe I'll make a special save point so I can record the battle on my VCR when I get home. I'm sure Adam would appreciate my efforts.. =0P HA!
