Buying from local farmers debate
This was an interesting article I found through a friend. http://www.forbes.com/forbes/2009/0803/opinions-energy-locavores-on-my-mind.html Its called the Locavore Myth, regarding whether the carbon footprint of long-distance transportation is really greater than that of local farmers. I'm all for Farmer's Markets, but this article brings up some interesting points.
