So...
I left work at around 1:30. I just couldn't take anymore. I had big plans of going to the barn and then going to a party. That did not happen. My brain needed a break. I sat on the couch with my amazing little dog and did nothing. It is truly remarkable how much Ava can change my attitude towards life. I know I needed to go ride, but I just didn't have the motivation to drive out there. Of course, I feel guilty. It was a lovely day and Onyx was out to enjoy it. She got pasture exercise and I got a mental rest. Enough said about the guilt. She will get ridden after the show tomorrow and hopefully a trail ride is in our future, weather permitting, on Sunday. Going to watch Amy Tryon give a talk on Winter Training and help support her on Sunday after my ride. That will be interesting to hear how she approaches training in the Washington rainy season. Still stressing on how I am going to get Onyx up to speed. I really want her out this spring. I don't care if it is a grasshopper course. Hopefully, I can find good deals at the show/tack sale tomorrow on all of the rest of the equipment we need to accomplish that goal.
