Bam!

Apprently it was not sunburn but a virus that caused my redness and itchiness.
The "Fifth disease" is suppose to go away on its own eventually. Meanwhile, my skin has become super sensitive to any scratch.. so every little scratch turns into a humongous bloth of redness that itches insanely!!! @_@ I mistakenly wore a dress today only to end up with ugly scratch marks everywhere..... T_T;;

1 week and 2 days into my Genetics class, and my midterm is in 3 days.
Sure there's benefits to a short, one month summer course, but everything is so very rushed that I feel like exploding.

Something interesting that I learned today about choosing the sex of your baby:

"The Ericsson method attempts to separate the girl and boy chromosomes by filtering the sperm through a water-soluble protein solution called albumin. Another procedure separates sperm through a centrifuge*. Because Y-chromosome-bearing sperm is lighter, it rises to the top, and the heavier, denser X-chromosome-bearing sperm sink to the bottom. Doctors then perform artificial insemination using the separated sperm according to the sex you prefer. "

*centrifuge - An apparatus consisting essentially of a compartment spun about a central axis to separate contained materials of different specific gravities, or to separate colloidal particles suspended in a liquid.

Is this ethical? moral? Scientist are passing these questions on because they just deal with the science aspect of things.. right?
