Catching Up!
Okay... Wow, it's been a while now. I don't really have much of an excuse, since I'm not actually working anymore. :p
June 3rd marked my final day working at TRACEN Petaluma. Yes, after six and a half long years, I've finally moved on. Though I haven't moved far, since my new duty station is CAMSPAC Point Reyes, which is just 40 minutes down the road. I don't report in there until July 5th, however!
Not much to say on the divorce side of things, but there has been a possible development. Last week I finally told my lawyer that I would take Cody to small claims court if she didn't agree to ease up on some of these alimony payments or some other money she thinks I owe her. I really don't want to do it, and it's scary as hell, but I think I've got enough evidence on my side to where it would be impossible for Cody to prove that she did not lie or commit fraud. And since she was a resident of California at the time of her crime, and it happened here, I can take her to the California courts, which awards a maximum of $7,500. And seeing as how I have invoices saying I have legal fees reaching nearly $9,000 for the birds alone... yeah. I really just want for her to settle with this. I have no desire to drag this out any further than she already has. I just need to protect myself from her, which... in all honest, is a very unsettling thing for me to say.
So the past week and a half have seen a lot of me lounging around, some cleaning up of things, and, to be honest, video games. (Hey, it's kind of my thing.) kynekh_amagire and I got to hook up with seabhacson and tenaya_owlcat earlier this week, which was long overdue. It's fun hanging out with those two and just geeking over certain things. :p Oh yes, and there was WONDERFUL pot roast, thanks to Kyn. God she knows how to murder some meat. Also, Kyn and I have been catching up on a TV series called 'Leverage', thanks in part to previously mentioned Tagg and Tenaya. I'm rather fascinated by it.
I mentioned 'some' cleaning earlier, but there's actually been a LOT of cleaning going on because maggock is flying in to see me tomorrow! First, does that happen to anyone else? Like, you kind of let your house go until you know for sure someone is going to be coming over, and then it's a procrastinated race to the finish line to make it seem like your house is perfectly picked up and clean all of the time? Anyway, Maggie is flying in to SFO tomorrow afternoon, and will be staying until the 28th. There's not much planned per se, aside from a trip to the beach with Jackel and Kyn, a romp at a local county fair, a Dungeons and Dragons night (we're geeks, sue us), and lots of movies and walks and video games and... um... other things. Yeah.
