In my experience dogs poop everywhere in your house, and pee. They bark and anything and everything that makes a noise at 2am.

Also.... wet dog smell....

That is really sad. No one took the time to teach the poor doggy that it wasn't *okay* to do those things. He was just doing what he thought was right.

True, wet dog smell can be bad... but giving a cat a bath is asking for copious amounts of skin to be removed. I know they don't need baths too often but when they do it's skeery!

I would like to also point out that cats don't have to be trained not to poop/pee everywhere, they just automatically know its a bad idea to shit where you eat/live. On the other hand, I can't keep my nephew's dog from thinking the cat's litterbox is her own personal buffet.

I've never had to bathe a cat. Thats what Rene's are for. Sheesh.

I think that if you gave dogs a handy little box in the house to go potty, they would use it, but people just don't do that with dogs.

Regarding your nephew's dog: Gross. Grossidy gross gross gross.

One time my dad had to bathe his cat and to keep from getting slashed to bits he put a window screen at the bottom of the bath. The cat's claws came out and got stuck to the screen, apparently, and he was able to wash away. Poor kitty though. And poor Rene, for that matter.
