I'm actually playing him from seven years ago, during his time at the company to start with. Basically, his dealings with so many super-humans at Milliways, where people with powers walk around freely and powers are kind of celebrated will start touching on his conscience until eventually his conscience goes and gets him into trouble. Then after the whole bridge incident, he'll be gone from the bar and off the radar, and years will pass for him, when he'll come back in a bitter misanthrope and wind up training Peter.
(Speaking of which, Peter-mun, IM me so we can synchronize, yeah? Way I see it, Claude can do some more training in-bar too, until he freaks out and runs off).
