I have an unusual amount of things to get done this spring break. it's icky.
Today was really awkward, at least from 3 up until 7. So we have this script written for Fed Challenge, and it was mostly put together by Joey and Ben. One day, I showed up for a meeting, and Ben said "I think my character has the hots for your character" because there's a large amount of back-and-forth stuff between our characters in the script, and since then, there's been an inside joke that his character hits on my character. Today, Joey's speech/stage prescence trainer came to help us, and when she was talking about how we need to be more humanized and act like we're just having a conversation, Ben said "oh yeah there is definitely sexual tension between my character and hers." and the speech coach laughed really hard and said "yeah play off of that!" The next time I glanced over in his direction, he was doing the creepy eyebrow thing at me. It was scary. I put my head down on the table. She also suggested that in the part where we start to shuffle papers and leave that everyone starts having little side conversations with each other, and then Ben and Peter thought it'd be funny to have Peter's character flirt with mine and make Ben's really mad. After that, we all got plastic cups with water in them for props, and we wrote our characters' names on them. At the end, Ben put all the cups away and said "I'm putting yours next to mine." it was like... ok dude...
I went to Tra Ling's, and Joey was there. I didn't notice him for like the first 2 minutes. Then I guess he was trying to not be an ass, so he invited me to go sit with him, except I wish he wouldn't have made the effort because I had absolutely nothing to say that would have been of interest to him. So for the entire time I ate in silence, and he studied for his business test. And I can tell you right now that got real awkward real fast. Oh, he also kept asking me if I was vegetarian.
Whenever I go to Fed Challenge meetings, I am submerged in way too much testosterone. It is terrifying. I'm glad we're sticking to the seating arrangement where I sit at one of the ends. I have some open space XD
I'm totally up for getting ice cream or gelato tomorrow during 6th... if either kelsey or I will have money.
