"Damnit.." Mukahi Gakuto hissed, barely catching himself on the fire escape. It had been a long... long... night for the red head. Under the ruse of going to the commons area to study, Gakuto had snuck from his dorm room into the grounds - making his own rounds on top of the normal Gaurdians prowling about. Regardless of what the school was trying to promote, Gakuto highly doubted that the vampires of the Night Class would change their colors so easily.

Pulling himself back into an upright position, the acrobat moved quickly toward the utility window, inching it open and sliding his thin body inside. Now just to get into his room with his roommate noticing. Should be a piece of cake. After all, it was already 3:15 in the morning, and the red head was almost positive that Fuji Yuuta would be sleeping peacefully. So it was that he made his way to his dorm room, not bothering to be overly discreet. After all... there was nothing wrong with wandering the halls of your own dorm. Coming to a halt in front of their room, Gakuto pushed the door to, already reaching for his waist to begin removing the guns from his hip.

Something had awakened Yuuta from his dreams. A quick look at the clock told him that it was already past 3 am… and there was no sign of a roommate, when he got up to fetch some water for himself. Maybe he was staying at another room… Gakuto did have friends at the school, so it wouldn’t have been odd… but then again guys having sleepovers? Definitely odd, but not forbidden.

Yuuta poured himself a glass of cold water when he heard the door open. If Gakuto was staying at someone’s place, usually they stayed until the morning. Maybe he was kicked out? Okay, no more conclusions. He’d just have to ask… or then he could pretend that he was sleeping and didn’t notice. But he was too curious for that.

“Gakuto…?”

The red head froze in his tracks, not daring to make a sound. 'So much for sneaking in unnoticed,' he thought with a frown. After a moment or so, Gakuto turned his body in Yuuta's direction - discreetly using his jacket to cover the duel guns at his hips.

"Eeeh? Yuuta, what the hell are you doing up?" he asked offhandedly, moving over to his side of the room and taking off his shoes.

Yuuta shrugged. “Just woke up for some reason. I was sleeping until a few minutes ago”, he said and took a sip from his glass. From the looks of it, Gakuto had definitely been outside… unless he normally walked indoors in a jacket.

“So… where were you at this hour?”

Even without looking up Gakuto could tell that Yuuta was eyeing him - taking in his appearance. Whatever. As long as his roommate didn't blab that he had decided to take a midnight scroll, Yuuta could think what he wanted. "Around," was his only answer, having gotten up and moved to his closet.

Now came the tricky part. How to dispose of his guns without Yuuta noticing them? Normally the other boy was asleep by the time Gakuto returned from his wanderings... "Sorry to have woken you up," he said lightly, trying to fill the awkward silence.

“It wasn’t you who woke me up, really”, Yuuta said as he put down the glass. “I was up before you opened that door, you know.” He walked back to his bed and sat down. It was… weird. He felt like he should have been responsible and should have asked Gakuto where he really had been, but then again he didn’t want to sound too nosy.

Yuuta looked at the floor. He felt like he should have at least said something… about the whole thing. “Look uh... I won’t tell on you if you’re sneaking out. Just don’t get into any trouble.”

"Oh, that's good," he mumbled, taking the opportunity when Yuuta had turned toward his bed to remove his weapons and shove them hurridly away. By the time the other looked back in his direction, Gakuto was already removing his coat to hang in it's normal place on the closet door.

"Ah... so you noticed," the red head frowned, now changing into his sleep wear. "... I just don't like being stuck in here is all. I've been going up to the roof. The grounds are watched too much..." It was a lie... but at least it was within school rules for students to use the roof - not to mention it would explain his clothing.

Yuuta nodded. “I see. Well, at least that’s still allowed, huh?” He lay down on his bed and yawned loudly. “And I understand how you feel. I hate being stuck inside with nothing to do… and getting permissions to leave for town later at the evening is just too much trouble.”

"Amen to that," Gakuto frowned. Secretly, he understood why the school had to go through such precautions - still, he couldn't help but feel Yuuta's pain.. just a little. "It seems really round about, doesn't it?" The last words the acrobat uttered were cut short by a small yawn. It really had gotten late.

"They should at least let us out on weekends, you know?"

“Yeah”, Yuuta mumbled and closed his eyes. He was really sleepy. Well, it wasn’t really a surprise since he had been sleeping already and waking up in the middle of it was always a bad idea.

“Weekends would be real nice. There’s not much you can do before six anyway… at least make the limit like eight or something…” It was kind of hard to talk when you felt like you could fall asleep any minute. But he tried so he wouldn’t just rudely end the conversation there.

The red head could relate to that completely. He was sure the rest of the Day Class felt the same. Really, but the school staff should have given the students a little bit of leeway. Simply telling someone they had to be in by six PM - especially teenagers - wasn't a good idea.

Yawning again, Gakuto laid down, pulling his top sheet over him. "Eight at least... maybe...." he paused, yawning, before picking up again, "maybe we should talk to the head...." He hadn't realized exactly how sleepy he was, his eyes trying to force themselves closed. In an effort to stay up, Gakuto switched to his side so that he could keep the other in his view.

“Mmmaybe… he should understand. He was young once, like us are now…” Yuuta felt the urge to stop talking and just sleep. It would have been nice. Sleep. Talking to your roommate was important too, thought. They needed to get along… but that was something that worked better while being awake. “We should think of something tomorrow… G’night.”

Bringing up a hand, Gakuto rubbed his eyes. It really had been a long night, and he could tell by Yuuta's slurred speech that he was exhausted as well. "Yeah... we should... maybe petition or something." The end of the sentance was cut off by a large yawn and he figured that his roommate had the right idea with calling it quits for the evening. "Late, Yuuta."
